COMFORT by the Cross-Eyed Cricket

The service from Celeste was absolutely terrible this evening. It took her 15 minutes to get our drinks. Then we asked for bread & butter before our food & that took her 15-20 minutes to bring out to us. When our food finally came she forgot to bring us an extra plate & side of honey mustard that we asked for & our drinks were empty. We sat with empty drinks for 30 minutes & she avoided eye contact with us when she would walk by & didn’t check in with us. It doesn’t help that the manager working never checked on us or any other tables around us in the hour & a half time we were there. Absolutely terrible service.

Despite a pleasant ambiance and attentive service, the experience over all left me questioning the justification for the price. The food is comparable to something you might expect from a food truck. The ambiance, while isn't awful, isn't unique. It's got the "industrial-farmhouse-core", or "new restaurant starter pack" feel. The service was great, and food and drink were prepared and delivered timely and with care. It's not somewhere I will probably go to again, because the food and ambiance were not worth the price.

Service was wonderful! I had the best catfish sandwich of my life in there!

My first visit to COMFORT but it won't be the last. Outstanding food, service and hospitality. A definite must visit if you are in Evansville. Old school, homestyle cooking.

Usually great service but we had brunch and scrambled eggs were rubbery oil not scramble at all. Look like Sat in skillet then thrown on plate
