Cola's Restaurant

I absolutely love this place. The food, atmosphere and everything about it is just amazing!

We've been talking about going here for years. We always made the mistake of thinking of going here when we were ready to eat. You definitely need to make a reservation at least a couple days in advance. We finally planned and this place was great! We started with drinks. The vanilla bean old fashioned and Georgia peach are fantastic. The appetizers we tried really held up to the reviews I'd seen. Pulled pork egg rolls and fried deviled eggs were yummy! But, the brussel sprouts stole the show. They were ruinously fried... the best preparation, with a delicious sweet and sour sauce. The entrees were delicious too. Their Southern staples were on point. The shrimp and grits were some of the best I've ever had. My husband's fried pork chop was succulent and so crunchy. It came with an apple gravy that sent it over the top! Their collard greens were the closest to my own that I've ever had at a restaurant. That's a huge compliment, because mine are the best! Dessert didn't disappoint either. How do they keep the ice cream at the perfect temperature to be perfectly soft, yet scoopable?! The almond basket was like lacy almond brittle and the berries were gorgeous. I had the coffee ice cream with toffee and chocolate sauce and I wish I could eat it everyday! We will definitely be keeping this place in the rotation!

I hoped sitting at the bar would make sure I had good drink service but that wasn’t the case. Seemed like the bartenders would not make eye contact so they didn’t have to make a drink. Ordered brick chicken for dinner and it was meh at best.

First time here, but won’t be my last! Went for a birthday dinner for a friend and had a table of 12. From the moment we sat down, it was top notch, from the amazing service to the equally amazing food. I can’t recommend Colas enough!

Arrived for earliest seating (5pm) and was received with smiling faces. Service staff was very accommodating. Food was very good and drinks were spot on.

I recently attended a group event, both the service and food were excellent. Our party of about 30 created a challenge for the staff, as we stood, mingled, and gave speeches. They flawlessly ensured we had replenished drinks, quickly removed empty plates and glasses, filled water, all while not interrupting the speeches. I was very impressed. The baby lettuce salad, chicken milanese and chocolate torte were all excellent, and my drink choice made perfectly. I was greeted warmly when I entered, thanked when I left, and the bar staff was quick, friendly and efficient. The restrooms are exceptionally clean, bright and well stocked. Great job by all.

We have been celebrating New Years with a dinner at Cola’s for the last 10 years and this year was a total disappointment. Our reservation was at 8pm and shortly after we were seated, we were told it was last call from the bar and then when we asked what time the restaurant was closing we found out 9pm. Regardless of closing time, the main dining room was full and shutting down the bar while you still have 50 or more people drinking didn’t make good business sense, nor did it make for a good experience as a customer. We had to ask for bread after our apps arrived; mussels came out with no bowl for discarding the shells so we ended up having to pile them on the table; we brought a bottle of champagne and were given large red wine glasses for drinking rather than champagne flutes; the burger I ordered was overcooked, dry and cold when it got to the table; we waited 35 minutes between apps and entrees, to the point of everyone getting antsy trying to figure out where our server was and why it was taking so long. The big issue at the table was we had a major bell pepper allergy at the table and it was completely disregarded and the plate arrived at the table full of bell peppers. When we brought it to the servers attention, she said “no there’s not” even though they were very visible. Upon calling the manager to the table he was apathetic at best and seemed to never have interacted with customers as he was wide-eyed and shaking as we calmly explained the situation. After a decade of traditions at Cola’s, we decided we won’t be returning next year for our annual celebration, rather we will find another fine dining experience that actually delivers the quality of what we are paying for.

First visit here. It was the BEST! Go to Cola’s! Love this place!
