I recently dined at Cocotazo, and was impressed with the authentic and delicious food. The friendly and fast service added to the overall positive experience. Highly recommend!
The food was amazing -- my favorite meal in NYC! Sticky guava ribs came with yellow rice, green salad, and plantains. All amazing. Also I'm celiac so it was awesome that it was gluten free. Highly recommend. Dietary restrictions: Great gluten-free options. Plus, the chef was there to answer all my questions.
The chef herself served up a gorgeous plate of food--pernil, rice with peas, plantains, potato salad, and green salad with tropical dressing. It was a plateful, and I ate every delicious bite. The pork was tender, juicy, and so flavorful. I'd even rave about the rice. Totally worth a trip to LaMarquta. Cocotazo--me gusta mucho.
The food is amazing; you would think you were on the island of Puerto Rico. Everything is fresh and just enough seasoning not too much salt. Excellent if you are health conscious. Going to bring my whole family.
Just coming back from a trip to Puerto Rico it's great to have a spot that can capture the wonderful food of Puerto Rico!!! Can't wait to go back!
The food was so,so satisfying and the service was excellent. It’s hard to find good PR food these days and I’m glad I found this place.
For a long time,I’ve looked for good PR food here in NY because it seemed to be a thing of the past. But by the grace of God I found Cocotazo and I must say, didn’t disappoint! The service was superb and the food took me back to my mother’s kitchen.
I went with my daughter to the East Harlem Market and found this place on Google. It was a small place with a rich culture that was vitally present. The name is cocotazo, and every puerto Rican knows what that means. Love the decorations, and the owners were present. They had their own pique made from their own garden. We definitely recommend this place to others.
Best puertorrican food in NYC.....
