The bread is amazing, but the customer service is pretty subpar, especially for what you’re paying. I am sensitive to the fact that it’s not the best time for the industry with staffing shortages, however, for the price of the product and shipping, comms could be better. Not receiving any email 3-4 weeks after you’ve placed an order is a little ridiculous. Again, love the bread, but having to hassle customer service for an update on your order over the course of many orders, has caused me to order less and less.
Nobody home. Monday 10 AM.
I ship bread and cookies to Michigan once a month. I love this place!!
I really enjoy the GF sourdough and the ingredients are unique and more nutritious than your typical rice, potato, and corn. They are a bit pricey but I appreciate the hard work and sourcing a small business has to account for so I buy bread and treats a few times a year but I always enjoy them!
These are the best gluten-free rolls you'll ever get. Plus, Coco is awesome. I don't always agree with her (do you agree with all of your friends always?) but she puts so much love and care into her work. I trust her 100%.
Great bakery! love this place
This bread is awesome, however, their business acumen and good customer services needs A LOT, A LOT of help! To NOT tell your customers who pick up their bread regularly for over a year at the Santa Monica location that you have moved to Canoga Park, is completely UNACCEPTABLE. How hard can it be to send a mass email to those who pick up their orders that Coco's is moving to a new location. I arrived at the Santa Monica location, and there was no one there. Not even a sign on the door. And the email reponse was - sorry for the confusion. There's no confusion on my part. Coco's failed to notify their customers of a VERY IMPORTANT change to the business. And no bread is worth paying a $10.00 shipping fee within the LA area. Again, not savvy business practices. I'm waiting for the explanation as to why the customers were not notified of a change in the address. VERY DISAPPOINTED AND SHOCKED. Again, NO BREAD is worth this kind of headache. I received my explanation from Coco Bakes LA - "As a very small business we take each customers issues seriously. Sending a mass email is not challenging however sending one to all of our subscribers seems to be a bit more challenging than we anticipated and were waiting to hear back from the app developer to see how in fact we send that email." We all know what goes into moving to a new home or apartment, so I can only imagine the planning that goes into moving a business, so for COCO Bakes to still be waiting to hear back from their app developer on how to send a "moving notice to customers," is unbelievable. Shouldn't COCO Bakes have worked the problem out before they moved. A classic case of putting the cart before the horse. It appears they are trying to get rid of their pick up customers, and solely be an shipment company only. Which is fine, but COCO Bakes should respect loyal customers. I found other bread options that are just as good if not better than COCOs, so for you customers who are tired of the run around, move on...because COCOs doesn't care about you.
The gluten free fruit and nut sourdough bread is delicious. I've eaten it plain, as avocado toast and with peanut butter. Looking forward to trying it topped with fried eggs.
Best brownie i’ve ever tried, can’t believe it’s vegan.
