Coby Club

This was my first visit, but it will not be my last. My martini was something like $20. Not bad at all for the ambience and the entertainment. I mean, come on, it's New York City. I made a reservation, but on the Thursday night that I was there, I don't think I would have needed it.

This place is a joke, much like the bartender and service crew Wednesday night. Facts: 1. We show up early, around 8p with no reservation. Hostess tells us all the couches are booked and then seats us in a small hightop in the corner behind the band…like we were rejects. 2. Place was empty. As a matter of fact the place was completely empty for the entire time we were there. Why do arrogant places like this play these stupid games??? 3. During that time, service was literally non-existent. We actually witnessed multiple parties get up and walk to the bar to order or close out their tabs because the server was too busy chatting to his bartender buddy or checking his phone. 4. When it was time to close out my tab, no server was anywhere to be found so I went to the bar and the funny part is they had an attitude back. And then proceeded to accuse me of being drunk. Mind you, this was our first stop of the night and the service was so pathetically slow that I was able to only order one drink. Yet they had the audacity to lie and talk back to a customer. Joke of a place. Joke of a management. Will never return.

Came here on a Friday night and loved the speakeasy vibe of this place. The bar was at capacity when we arrived, so I highly recommend making a reservation in advance. They had live music for about 10-15mins during the 2 hours that we were there, which was nice because we could enjoy the music but also talk to each other during the rest of the time. Highly recommend checking this gem out especially if you live in Chelsea!

Dark and cozy with comfy chairs to watch the performers. Appetizers were great nad Ariel was an amazing host. Thank you.

Très bon ambiance, la chanteuse April était exceptionnelle juste dommage qu’il n’y est pas plus de choix, par contre le cocktail était horrible
