I Love this place. It's a wonderful open kitchen little diner type place. It's not fancy. More homey. You feel welcome and the workers are friendly and good at their jobs. Love the beautiful portraits all over the walls. And it feels like you could be in New Orleans in there, which I love as I used to live there. I enjoyed the French bread French toast this time so yummy and have had the corned beef hash as well. True diner deliciousness. Prices are pretty good lots of affordable options. Definitely a great local breakfast option Kid-friendliness: My child has autism and we felt comfortable and welcome here
You absolutely must eat there. Great food, portions, fair prices. Very friendly and homey atmosphere.
For a delicious country breakfast at a smaller restaurant, I find no better place to eat than at CJ's. A ham & cheese omelet, biscuits & gravy, or maybe something on the sweet side, French toast will satisfy your taste buds and leaving wishing you could have ate more.
The food was great in this little roadside diner. Nothing fancy but if you want good eats it's the place to get them. Kid-friendliness: Home town diners have a great atmosphere for families.
Good comfort , diner style food. Servers are the best.
Long wait time and poor service
Delicious dishes! Relaxed, charming atmosphere. Best crab cake eggs Benedict ever! Fabulous food at affordable prices.
My wife and I loved this restaurant. We just moved to Pensacola from Ohio, and we had a favorite restaurant for breakfast in Ohio. We were having a difficult time locating one in Pensacola because we like a traditional breakfast of eggs, bacon/sausage, hashbrowns/grits, and toast with coffee and water on the side. Maybe we were spoiled with the cost of everything in Ohio being much cheaper than here, as we paid about $6-$7 each for that breakfast in Ohio. Down here, at many places, that breakfast ranged from $10 to $17 each. To our delight we found that this restaurant's cost for that breakfast was about the same as our restaurant in Ohio, so we decided to try it out. The staff was extremely friendly and warmly welcomed us. The food was great. It reminded us of home. The atmosphere was very welcoming and they had great music. The way their grill and dining area are set up reminded me of waffle house only bigger. As long as their prices stay the same and their quality of food remains the same, this will definitely be our go-to breakfast restaurant. I would have given a 5-star rating, but we had to wait a fairly long time (around 15-20 minutes) to get our seats as we arrived late in the morning on Saturday. Maybe if we went earlier, we may not have waited as long. The seating and tables were also a bit tight. The restaurant needs a bit of updating. If the owner decides to update, I would definitely recommend expanding the dining area. With that said, I reiterate that our overall experience was a very good one, and we will return!
