I guess it's true that all good things come to an end... From C&J's legendary overflowing inexpensive $5 lunch special to the "Where's the Rest of the Food" small lunch that keeps going up in price... This place used to be the bomb but has consistently fell off with inconsistent taste, bad service, rising prices, and, worst of all - smaller portions. Last Saturday was the last straw. The food barely rose over the lower portion of the container. I used to have to be careful how I opened the container so the food wouldn't spill out. Sadly, not anymore... I have been a Saturday regular for years ordering 4-5 lunches for my family. Now I'm not going back. I might as well go to Popeye's across the street and get my deals with their app. It's a tragic fall for a classic Brooklyn spot and my heart is hurting.
The only thing that jerk pork was very spicy...please could you guys have some mild jerk pork&chicken..you guys are cooking for the public..cater for everyone.
I stood there for about 5 minutes before I could order with only one person in line doesn't make sense the services was slow like he didn't feel like coming to work 2day Parking: Park and keep an eye on your car so you don't get a ticket
Customer service "horrible." The fried chicken " nasty, fried with dirty oil. Mac and cheese pie " cheese where" dry. Not worth the drive, uber or MTA. Oxtails were basically "ok." I got there around 5pm, "time" probably played a part in the quality of food I received.
One of my favorite places to eat
Delicious food. Kid-friendliness: Courteous.
WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER WITH CARRIBEAN FOOD. THE PORTION WAS EXTREMELY SMALL FOR $22. IT WAS ALL BONES AND THE RASTA PASTA WAS GUMMY. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!! IT WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!!!!! GO TO PEPPAS !!!!
Hi Darlings, Chef Den here. I just got a chicken soup from the UTICA LOCATION and was IMPRESSED!!! Here’s why, the chicken soup was full bodied with the right amount ingredients and oh-so-flavorful WITH NO inches of oil swimming on top or salty MSG. This taste like real country chicken soup made with FRESH ingredients you buy when in J.A. It’s NOVEMBER 20th so whoever cooked this soup you nailed it cause I can taste your skills & love. I tried the other flatbush location when they first opened up but stopped going because of the gallons of oil swimming on top of meats & soups before they stir it all up. And as a Jamaican & a Chef I care so deeply what I feed my community that they are paying for. So my heart is so pleased knowing Utica has a chef in your kitchen cooking the best product for C&j. ❤️
