BEST KEPT SUNDAY BRUNCH SECRET EVER! After partying all night at our wedding celebration at Bar Louie, we had gotten up Sunday in search of brunch. I had taken my family to Ted's Bulletin because I have been there before and had a great experience. We walked into Ted's to find it would be a 1 hour and 30 minutes wait until we could get a table. We were not about this life, so we left. We walked down the street and found City Tap. We weren't sure if they were open but saw that the lights were on so we walked in. We were greeted by two very friendly young ladies and the first question out of my mouth was, "Do you serve brunch?" They both replied, "yes" , and showed us the menu. I was immediately sold as the first item on the brunch menu is, "Pecan Pie French Toast". I was like, "sign me up!" It didn't take long at all to get a table as there was NO ONE else in the restaurant. I thought, why not? We got to our table and were then greeted by Jessica who took care of us the remainder of our time there. I of course ordered the Pecan Pie French Toast, and a few other things cause I'm a fatty, and damn was it good! Definitely going down as some of the best French Toast I have ever had, and let me tell you, I have had A LOT of French Toast. The rest of the food was equally as good as my family and two friends raved about their meals as well. If you find yourself in One Louden and are looking for a brunch spot you have to check out City Tap. Don't let the name fool you, it's more than just a bar. I believe this is why there was no one else in the restaurant for brunch. It has to be that most don't know they serve brunch. Well, THEY DO and it's FANFRICKENTASTIC! Huge thank you to Jessica for putting up with me and my family!
Food and service were excellent. We sat at the booths in the bar area and was too loud for maintaining a conversation. Parking on the street is like playing the lottery. Nearby is a parking garage with ample opportunities. All parking is free in this commercial property known as "ONE LOUDOUN"
Our first time visiting this chain. It was excellent. There were four of us at lunch. We had appetizers, entries and dessert. All were good. Loved the interior. Looked like wood, almost a lodge like atmosphere. Our server was knowledgeable and offered suggestions. We really enjoyed and plan to return. Check it out.
