★★★★ My experience at the House of Blues was mostly great! The staff was incredibly helpful, the sound quality was excellent, and it was clear that the venue was well-maintained. The only hiccup was the coat retrieval process at the end of the night, which was a bit unpleasant due to unmarked "white" versus "grey" lines. Despite that, I had a great time overall.

Just saw Magic City Hippies with the Palms here and it was a great show. Clean venue. Security does not eff around either. Id def go back. Parking situation was a breeze as well.

This venue has gone down hill in the past 5 years. Is it a nice, small, place to see music? Yeah. For how small it is, youd hope for better acoustics, but I'm guessing they need to refresh their equipment because I've heard way better at much smaller scale venues. Where this venue really needs to improve is customer service. Their security is SO rude. I understand and very much appreciate that their job is to keep us all safe, but that doesnt mean you should be rude to your paying guests and abuse your "power". Last night I attended a show and felt I really needed to write a review as these types of encounters continue to increase in frequency and they need to address it. My husband and I went through the pat down and the man who patted down my husband was an absolute jerk to my husband. Upon inspecting his hands full of his pocket items he insisted that chapstick was not allowed in the venue and instead of asking if hed like to bring it back to our car he grabbed it and chucked it in the trash. Just like that. My husband and I did nothing to instigate this type of treatment and were flabbergasted at what had happened. Chapstick?! Since when?! And to throw it out without asking if we want to return to our car? No where in their policy does it state that chapstick is a restricted item. Chapsticks are not considered liquid or gel according to TSA regulations. This dude is just one of many of the HoB Boston's entitled security guards who need to get their kicks somehow so mess with people who dont deserve it. My husband and I attend 12+ shows a year and I can guarantee you that we will be avoiding ticket purchases for this Boston venue moving forward.
