Circus Play Cafe

Cons: run down, outdated play area, untidy, gum stuck on foam mats, mediocre food (burnt yam fries), tiny pancakes inedible, no sippy cups, dirty high chairs and overpriced. There were no other customers so staff were going to close very early. We were only there for 1 hour max. I was dying to leave because my child wasn't having fun. Pros: amazing customer service, delicious americano, fresh avocado toast (maybe cut back on the balsamic), good selection of background music but doesn't fit the environment, free 2 hour parking on hastings street. I'm not sure I would recommend this place especially since it's lacking more entertainment options. BUT with a few modifications this place could have potential.

The coffee was good but the place was dirty. Food and drinks were spilt on the floor and were left for 30 minutes which sucks when you have to walk around with socks. The windows are being touched all day and don't look like they are cleaned regularly. The air is so stale and with Covid you'd think we'd learn the basic lesson of how airflow dramatically decreases the chances of viruses spreading. Even opening the door for a couple minutes every hour would make such a big difference. The decor is no where near what the original one was like. This one doesn't look well loved at all. Overall I might come back because my son liked the toys but I'd probably do other activities.

Arrived and took off our shoes and waited at 2:12pm just for the attendant to tell us that they were closing early at 2:30 without any warning. He was very short and his communication was impolite. We wanted to stay and play because our little one had already gotten excited seeing all the toys. The attendant offered us a 20% discount for 18 minutes of play out of the 2 hour window that should be allowed, which isn’t reasonable in my opinion. Very disappointed and we won’t be returning.

We had a great visit. Staff and service is excellent. Couldn't have any better. Especially the young man working today Feb 2 who checked on the health of the man outside. 5 stars right there. Food and drink is quite good too. Play space could use a few more toys. Dolls for the doll house, more play things for the kitchens etc. I would say it's suitable for 4 and under. Overall nice visit and fair price point.

The location is not very nice and not convenient. We came 3.45 pm and paid 12 dollars admission fee for 1,5 hour play only. Coffee was not tasty.

Nice place! Coffee was good and my 3 year old loved it. The food could use a step up. The yam fries were burned but to get a few min of relaxation to enjoy my coffee was worth it!

Very cute place but really expensive for what you get. 14 dollars for entry to a bit of play equipment in a small ish coffee shop. I was expecting it to be bigger and offer more for that price point.

My little one really enjoys playing here, but unfortunately you never know when they’re open because they just don’t keep their hours updated. It’s so unfair to drive there, find parking(which is not easy around the area) and to find a sign stating the door that they’re closed for a private event. It seems that they can’t be bothered to let their clients know when they’re closed.
