The tiniest taproom in the brewery district, despite being without air conditioning, is still one of my favorites. It retains the rough-hewn simplicity of the buy-a-glass, get-some-beer workaround era of its origin. The staff is always amazingly friendly and knowlegable. In this era of curbside and order-ahead, they really have their game down, and the little beirgarten in the shadow of their tank is nice spot to enjoy a socially-distanced pint.
Solid beer offering, close to the stadium and fun on game day. No air conditioning can be a little rough when it's over 100 degrees out though.
Thursday night. Barks for beers cut myself a sweet tin sign
Pretty cool. I’d rather go to Hop Squad next door. It’s still decent though. No food when I went. I would give it 3.5 but why not round up for a local brewery.
Very average beer with not too many beer options. Beer was served in plastic cups - it felt cheap. It smelled like chemicals and mildew while sitting at the bar top. There was a band that sounded awful.
Great brews. Perfect place to tailgate for the Austin FC soccer games.
