Chuy's Taco Shop

This place is pretty good. Definitely large portions. The service is fast and friendly. The quality of the food is, overall, above average. The red sauce was awesome. Cali Burrito was huge, although pretty average. Fish tacos tasted really good. $5.99 for an order of plain fries was way too much. Rice and beans were decent. We'll come back soon to try other stuff.

Menudo wasn't very meaty, light with the tripe. Chili verde burrito was shredded pork not with any of the chunks traditionally in it. OK if you are in a hurry.

I went here this evening because someone recommended the place to me during a conversation I was having and me sharing that I was craving a burrito after work. I noticed while in line to place my order that they had a giant poster of Guy Feriri (Spelling), so I thought this place must have flavorful dishes... I orded my 2 basic burritos that I always order when going to a new (to me) Taco Shop. A Carne Asada Burrito and *if offered a Diabla Burrito. The Carne Asada burrito was a little bland and a little dry even though I added cheese and sour cream. But was good and thicc. Would I order it again?... if nothing else in the menu was appetizing or made me curious, sure. Now, the Diabla Burrito is a straight no for me even though the shrimps were cooked beautifully. The burrito overall was bland, dry, and have a char flavor, that was closer to burnt. The rice barely had flavor, the salsa (the Diabla part of the burrito) needed some salt or even a little sugar. All you tasted was the chili's without seasoning. I have never had a diabla burrito this dry especially since the rice is sauced during the process of making the burrito. There was not even some kind of tartar, or white sauce, nothing. Just rice, shrimp, and the salsa. Was very disappointing.

I love this place, but they mess my simple order up every time and after today I’m DONE. I order a breakfast burrito with beans, eggs and bacon ONLY, and then I say no cheese just to help. Every time I get home, there’s cheese and no beans. I’m done with this place.

The Cali Surf n Turf is the size of a newborn baby, absolutely huge. I can eat it for three meals lol. It’s also absolutely delicious. Love this place.

If you're seeking Americanized Mexican - or some of the best SoCal Mexican - with GREAT food choices, this is the place to try. It is my families latest go to. And our favorite dish is cabesa frles!

I’ve been coming to Chuy‘s taco shop for years. I love the taco shop. I stop coming because the last time I ordered food the cook dropped roll tacos on the floors and still serve them. I was disgusted ever since I decided to come back today and get some food after all those years I figured maybe a new cook Seem like the cook that was making the food was sick and instead of wiping his nose on a napkin he decided to wipe it on his hands. I don’t know if it’s my luck or what but I’m never coming back to this taco shop.

So good the Asada fries are soooo good and there service is amazing they are so nice the food there is amazing highly recommended
