This place has good reviews. But when I came at 2pm on a Sunday, we were seated immediately but no server for almost 10min & there was hair in my spouses food. Not exactly a good 1st experience.
Sadly, I have to update this review -- basically replace it. Chuy's was so much better before the pandemic!! Now, they have dropped all of my former favorites from the menu. They even dropped the sopaipillas, which are ridiculously cheap and easy to make! Who does that?!? They also dropped the chile relleno, the flan, and the best enchiladas I have ever had anywhere.
Food was literally amazing. Beef burrito with the zoom sauce was perfect. Service was top notch. Our server didn't miss a beat he was there when needed not when we didn't need him. The place was slammed for national margaritas day but they had people in and out as quick as possible.
Chuy's left a lot to be desired. The food was ok... not great. And it was expensive for what it was. If you want really good Mexican food, go to a mom and pop establishment. This place was convenient because there wasn't a wait but that's about it. The tables were dirty and service was slow.
Food is always great as well as the service. Food came out quickly. My favorite spot for texmex.
