Consistent, decent and fast Tex-mex. Everyone knows about Chuys and what they offer. There are a lot of locations now but I generally visit the Lamar one. Its always what I expect. Chips with the creamy jalapeno is a good start. I got the Al Carbon Tacos with chicken this time and they were good. It can get pretty busy almost every day so I try to go before 11:30 to beat the crowd. On my next visit I went with the 'Big as yo face burrito'. You can see the picture. It's big! I got it with the ground sirloin and deluxe tomatillo sauce. Good flavors. Too much food!
This would have been 3 except the creamy jalapeno and pico that they brought to the table with chips at the beginning of the meal was incredible. It was on point this time so you get a 4 Chuy's! Sometimes it's too mayonnaisey. This is a solid Tex-Mex dining option but it's sliding down on the scale for me; it's just not fresh tasting Tex-Mex, but I'm not sure if it's really changed or if Austin has just gotten better options . It's fine, just not knock your socks off. And I would say it's just the Lamar location that smells a little dank, but the Duval and Round Rock do too so I don't know.....except I do because I've worked in my share of kitchens so I know that smell . Y'all have got to do a serious deep clean on all locations.
Good place as always loved food.
Don't bother asking for sweet and low with Austin
Besides a baby roach on the wall it was good. Bugs are in every restaurant so it's not a huge deal. Waiter was awesome and food was decent.
