I visited the location at The Post. OMG! I had the chicken golden bowl. It had ALL of the flavors of soul food just tastier! It was Jolie rice with Brussels sprouts, roasted plantain, curry coconut milk with peas. Just spicy enough! Delicious. Go try it!

Got the Trad. The taste was good. But the serving size is not worth $17 for a bowl that was not even half full. You are better off trying other places. Big dissatisfaction.

Food was excellent as always!! I'm not a first time customer but I wanted to give a shout out to NOVA i'm unsure if she is the manager or not but she resolved an issue that came up expeditiously!!! I truly appreciate her customer service skills an attentiveness to my issue. Parking: you can probably park on the street the handicap parking in the front is free.

Hands-down my favorite place at the POST. Golden bowl or its vegetarian complement, the Motherland are simply fantastic. Just the right level of spice/kick IMO.

So good! A little expensive but SO worth it.

Called and spoke to the manager on two consecutive days to request to see if it was possible to increase doordash mile radius, said she’ll tell the owner and call me back with whatever was decided. She never called back and nothing has been done; it’s been a week. Sincerely don’t believe she even told the owner especially since I called twice, so hopefully Ope sees this.

Not sure what is not to like here! The menu is simple but it is difficult to make a choice because everything sounds delicious! They were offering small samples of Golden Bowl and hibiscus drink at the front of the restaurant. After tasting the samples, I knew what I wanted. The ingredients in the Golden Bowl were so fresh. The chicken strips were cooked well, and the curry was very flavorful but slightly spicy. I never had stewed plantains, but I liked it in the Golden Bowl. The rice was perfect. The hibiscus drink is a must-have when you have the Golden Bowl. They pair well together! I love the decor; simple, warm, and inviting. There are two small tables and 4 stools inside the small restaurant for anyone who wants to dine inside. There are also a couple of rattan chairs and a bench at the other side of the restaurant, but the occupants are mainly customers who are waiting to pick up their food. However, there are plenty of seats in the food hall. The small restaurant sells merchandises like sweatshirts and cookbook too. Do check them out!

We just had our dept lunch catered by this restaurant. It was amazing. The food was delicious and served hot. I think everyone went back for a second plate. I loved the curry and plantains. But all of it was amazing. Can't wait to visit them at their location.

My husband and I came here while visiting from out of state mid January and the food was amazing! The atmosphere was beautiful and warm and just made me feel at home.
