Chophouse '47

Chophouse 47 has contacted me and has made every possible effort to reconcile my complaint. I have changed my review to 5 stars. The problem has been resolved. Thanks Chophoust 47, you are still my favorite place to dine!! My wife and I celebrated our 40th anniversary March 3, 2024 at Chophouse 47, our favorite restaurant. Unfortunately, my steak, bone in ribeye, had so much gristle that I could not chew the majority of my steak. I carried half of it home , only to find threads of gristle in the meat. I threw it away. My wife enjoyed her meal. She had the petite filet, it was perfect. We enjoyed the evening but we were greatly disappointed in the ribeye.

The Caesar salad was very tasty. The remainder looked good, but lacked seasoning. UPDATE: I went back to this location after speaking with the manager. I ordered all of the same food and it was much better this time. My friend said she enjoyed her food and it was tasty. Tip for my Medium Well steak crew - I ordered a center cut ribeye. Their cuts are very thick so you may want to specify that you want it a little more than Medium Well and you don't want any blood. Also you have an option to tell them if you want a heavy or light char (didn't know that before). I'm really glad I went back.

Been a Regular at Chophouse 47 since they opened. Always a great time. Food and service was excellent. Definitely on my Greenville foodie list as a must have .

Was in town just for a night and decided on Chophouse 47. Wow is all I can say. I love steak and have been fortunate to dine at a lot of top "steakhouses" throughout the country. I can say this was a top 3 steak that I've ever had. The service was excellent as well. I highly recommend.

Yes this place looks like a nice place to eat. The food is ok and the service is sub par. The management is doesn't do their job. They over book themselves. The customers are the ones who suffer. I highly recommend. Taking your business elsewhere. There is plenty of other fine dining in Greenville.

Had to wait 45 minutes for a table!!!!

Really great food on the pricy side. The petit filet steak (2oz) incl. gigantic fries was delicious. We've been there for a work dinner. The sides are more like family sides, which means everybody on the table orders different sides, so at the end you can try them all.

The memories of hosting Christmas dinners and special events in the cigar room with my sales team are truly unforgettable. During about a dozen visits, there was only one minor disappointment, quickly overshadowed by the exceptional experiences that followed. Our recent visit, orchestrated by our gracious new friends, was nothing short of magical. They called ahead for a spirited server, and we were treated to the best – William and Athena in training. Starting with margaritas and an old fashioned, the evening unfolded with perfect oyster Rockefellers and crab cakes. The wedge and tomatoes with onions were top-notch choices. The main course was a symphony of flavors. While our friends raved about the lamb chops, William's description of the veal convinced our new friends to try both, and the decision was marvelous. Initially opting for the filet, I switched to the bone-in ribeye after hearing glowing reviews – a choice I'll forever be grateful for, as it provided two outstanding meals. The grand finale, the butter cake with ice cream, was nothing short of heavenly. The A+++ service, impeccable food quality, and, most importantly, the great company, made it a truly enchanting night. Chophouse 47 continues to impress, and I can't wait for my next visit to indulge in the culinary delights and warm hospitality.
