Great customer services, delicious ramen.
We were greeted by 2 exceptionally kind and outgoing staff who explained our menu and what to order. The room was quite packed and awkward which put us off slightly. We were heavily dissatisfied by our main courses of tempura udon as they had put a giant shrimp in the broth making it off putting and giving it a soggy texture. The other dishes were nothing special as well but the salmon teriyaki was quite nice and I would recommend it.The last straw for us though was when we were served a cut-up orange with a single grape in it as a “dessert” and it was not worth the money.
My wife and I used to be loyal customers at Chisou - while we understood that it is a fusion restaurant, we still believed that it is leaning towards an authentic Japanese dining experience that we love. Unfortunately, 2 weeks ago we experienced a very bad food quality at Chisou. My wife ordered sashimi set and it was not fresh. Additionally, my iberical katsu pork was looking more like a schnitzel than a proper katsu cutlet. I am not being mean - if you ever tried a tonkatsu from Maisen, Saboten, in Japan... you will immediately know what I am talking about. It should be chunky not that flattened!
Fantastic sashimi and service. Saikyo is amazing.
