My favorite fast food chinese restaurant in Covina. They are cantonese owned and the quality of food here is amazing. Take it from a chinese person/ yelp elite haha. 1 bowl with any side is $7.39. 1 single item combo is $8.29. 2 item combo is $9.29. The price is ridiculous for such massive portions. Give it try and you won't regret it.
First, given the price point and market segment, the food here is best-of-class. Five stars in those categories. Atmosphere and service are pretty middling, and I had a strange experience tonight when, after calling in a takeout order, someone walked in a few minutes before I arrived and straight up stole my food. They had to make an entire new order of five items. In the future I hope they store take out orders behind the counter instead of on it. Finally, Google lists this business as China Taste, but it is associated with Spices 3 across the street and may not be associated with that former name or owners. Not quite sure.
Mongolian beef over rice is like only onion over rice. Also portion is really small. Not like 12 dollar meal
Rude Back customer service quality of food zero Chicken quantity Takes a rubber won’t eat here again one order from them again For the three Disappointmente about eggrolls
The woman who attends the place has a bad attitude, I asked her for extra Sriracha sauce, and she gave it to me in a bad mode, her English is not the best and she still got mad because I didn't understand
Im really sad. I ordered from Spices/China Taste through doordash. I was very excited because of the high ratings esp for noodles. I ordered basics because I had never eaten here before; an order of ShuiMai, Chow Noodles and General Tso Chicken. The noodles were awful. They were like boiled with no flavors, onions or anything. It tasted like the cooks forgot to make the dish. I was very disappointed. The chicken was awful too. No flavor to it and very mushy because of the breading. The ShuiMai was amazing. I spent $50 on this meal and only ate it so I wasnt wasting my money but I should have returned it. Also Im not normally a person that gets too hyped up about bad food enough to post it as a review.
I've been going to Spices! 3 for almost a decade and was curious to see what they'd do with their original location after they moved across the street. Wow, what a treat! They reopened as a noodle focused place with an optimized menu filled with all the classics I knew and loved from Spices! 3, and a bunch of new things. The service remains excellent, the food unbelievably good and the prices excellent. I highly recommend their noodle special which is a great deal. You really can't go wrong with any of their dishes, don't be afraid to be adventurous and ALWAYS try something new here. I did last time, and I think I found a new favorite dish I'll be ordering for years to come.
