Food was delicious, our waitress Janie was awesome! 1st time trying out this place but now we will go back more often. Food was,Fresh service was Great! Parking: Nice lighting at night. No bums around to bother you! Kid-friendliness: Staff was friendly with my kids.

Been looking for a Chinese restaurant that makes fried rice with wok hei and this place has it!

My family and I have been going to China Cafe since November 1991 and has been our local favorite Chinese restaurant since. I didn’t know they were here when I took my daughter when she was 3 at the time to see the original Beauty & The Beast at the movie theater next door at the original Lake Creek Festival location which always made this a great location for excellent Chinese Cuisine and entertainment. The restaurant atmosphere has always been great and has improved even more so with renovations over the years, their new location makes it a more authentic experience. The employee’s and wait staff have always been wonderful and make you feel at home, but the true treasure of the China Café is their food that’s simply amazing. Which (all) of the other Chinese restaurants within the area and Austin have nothing on the China Cafe. I highly recommend General Tso Chicken, Hot & Sour Soup, Wonton Crispy's for your soup, and if you love cuisine with calamari, may I suggest the “House Spicy Calamari.” “Trust me it’s that good!” As far as a few of the whiners on the reviews here, I would think they would like some cheese and crackers with all their whine. I’ve been in retail management since the 1980’s and there’s (no) business that can fully make everyone happy, especially those of whom make a career life of complaining trying to get something for free. As long as we have been coming here for 33 years now (all) of our friends and family that I’ve referred and brought here, have only had the same experience as myself. The evidence is always in the pudding. In this case, it lay’s within all the other great reviews.

One of my favorite Chinese spots in Austin. Amazing hot and sour soup. Service is always great and I've never had to wait on food. I've been going for over a decade!

They usually overcook my chicken. I even show them and then they fix it but not this last time. I’m not coming back again.

we was there last Sunday for dinner. good service. good food. clean and organize table. you can feel comfortable and enjoy the food.

I ordered beef, chicken and pork lo mein. When I opened it up and there was shrimp in there which I am highly allergic to. I even called before and asked and the guy assured me I ordered not the combination order.

I love their new location! Their place is very nice! The food was excellent and the staff was great, as always!
