Excellent food. A local area gem. A nice place to visit regularly for authentic Mexican food.

This place was nearly empty which doesn't make sense considering how good the food was. If you like mole sauce and other fancier style dishes it is a winner. Our 4 year old also finished a entire adult serving of shrimp she loved it so much. Kid-friendliness: We had a group of 8 with 4 kids they were great with the kids and the atmosphere worked well for the kids who loved it and the food.

Had the Caldo Tlalpeno it was great ! Very nice people run this place. Stop in, you won't be let down!

The breakfast burrito and mimosa were not good. Mimosa was hot, and the chorizo tasted like plastic. Maybe just an off day??

Chile en nogado was the star of the table - a savory concoction of poblano, fruits, nuts in an amazing creamy, sweet sauce - a real taste treat! Chicken poblano mole was rich, dark and delicious - chicken was tender and mole was flavorful and perfectly balanced. Our favorite with the chips was a tasty, mildly flavored bean/chorizo dip. House marg was smooth and boozy, a real value at $6! Service was attentive and helpful. Overall, Chile Verde is a satisfying and delicious dining experience, an excellent value and we will return.
