We came on 2/2 for First Friday in downtown South Bend. At the time they were doing free beignets w/ a purchase. They were good. We also had dinner here and I had the Sicilian salad, and my husband got the chicken po boy. Both of which were good! We also got hummus as our appetizer. Was only disappointed that they didn't have spinach for the spinach artichoke dip. The last time we were here we had that, and it was so delicious!!! We were looking forward to having it again but didn't get to. Otherwise, it's a good place to eat.
This place was amazing, the drinks were perfect. The service was exceptional.
Decent little Cafe, not many choices to choose from for hot drinks but, hey....place isn't bad.
I love the jambalaya and the beignets here but I have a lactose sensitivity and they don't always use natural cheese (which I can eat) despite what the menu says. I ordered a sandwich with pepper jack cheese which is safe for me if it's not the cheap processed kind, but only after eating it I realized the cheese was not natural. As a result I reacted to the food. In the future I think it would be helpful if you noted which items contained natural vs processed cheeses when listing the ingredients on the menu descriptions.
Peaceful when I needed it!
Very fun place! Coffee was great food was delicious and staff was very friendly and nice. Lots to do and feels very welcoming.
My husband and I used to absolutely love this place but we just went and the place seems to have really gone downhill. We have been here many times for both food, coffee and alcoholic drinks. The coffee was decent but that’s hard to mess up. The bar looked abandoned and the counter was full of trash. The food took forever to come out (we both ordered baked Mac n cheeses and a spinach artichoke dip). The macaroni and cheese was dry and over baked, and half an hour after we ordered the dip they informed us they didn’t have any. The place was also in great need of a serious deep cleaning. It’s a shame but we won’t be back.
