Only good vibes here. Great cocktails, fun bartenders, and the dj in Friday @9pm is the moment to be a part of. Upstairs has a small limited bar, some table and couch seating, as well as a little space behind the dj to dance. Interior design is great, both fun and warm and welcoming, as if you walked into a friend’s house. All drinks are great, but if you need an espresso martini pick-me-up…this is the spot. Have yet to try the food, but it looks good.
Great vegan friendly dishes like the green beans, plant based lamb meatballs (a little tough), and vegetable crudite (ask to swap the green goddess dip for the olive tapenade!) The mushrooms were a little dry though, tasty with the fresh herbs and onions but needs a little moisture or sauce The cocktails are very tasty, but could use some light garnishes for the ingredients to help distinguish which ones they are
**Update** There appears to have been a bit of a vibe update here. It’s still dope and novel, but they have made some additions to the now streamlined menu. Get the Negroni Sour and the Hot Pocket (Banging Empanada), and prepare for an orgasm of the taste buds. Was always a great weekly stop, but now that some guilty pleasures have been added I think it warrants a an additional trip or so a week. If you want something unique and refreshing to try on Valencia then give this place a visit. The daiquiris are wonderfully refreshing on a warm sun filled day. The tin tins are a lot of fun, and absolutely delicious. I’d suggest trying the tuna belly. I’m also a big fan of the tri tip porchetta. The chefs always make them to medium rare perfection, and the chili oil is just delightful. My only qualms about this place is that it isn’t open more days during the week .
If you’re still going to require proof of vax put it on your website. I don’t want to support business practicing this offensive policy. There’s no basis for this.
Was travelling for work and stopped by here for a solo dinner and drink at the bar, and received such a friendly welcome from the bar staff. Food and drinks were great, vibe was on point, and I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town.
Amazing drink’s especially the cocktail called Japanese and fusion food to relish . The hosts were kind enough to give us food post 9 pm as we’re famished
If you liked Trick Dog, you'll love Chezchez. The ambiance, drinks, and food hit on all marks. I liked the duality of the lively downstairs and outdoor area to the more intimate upstairs room. Can't wait to come back to try more of their drinks and food!
