Staff very friendly. Excellent food. Serves all day. Great place to relax outside and enjoy.
Highly recommended. We ordered Baked Camembert to start, and then duck and hachis parmentier. For dessert, crème brûlée
Amazing authentic French cuisine! Mussels and French onion soup are must try! Long wait time to be seated.
I was pretty pumped to try this famous brunch place. The wait on Saturday noon was about 30 minutes which is pretty standard. We got nice table for four people in the outdoor area and ordered crepes and burgers. My crepe with fresh cheese and salmon was pretty bland and dry but my friends were happy with their choices and enjoyed the food. Service was fast and our server was knowledgeable. I was not too impressed by this place so probably will continue exploring other brunch options on Portrero
got a chicken brie panini! i’ve hear that dinner is better here though so will come back :)
I love coming to this Chez Maman location. Unlike the Hayes location (which is also great!) this location has much more of a neighborly/laid back feel. I’ve been here for brunch, lunch, dinner and it has yet to disappoint. Everything is good but a few recommendations off the top of my head are the steak frites, mushroom crepe, fettecuine, mussels (marinière is my fav, but they are all good!). They have a good selection of wine at reasonable prices. Perfect for a catch-up with friends or a date night. Service is prompt and friendly. Parking: Plenty of street parking if you go a block or two down.
I bought my wife here for her birthday and it didn’t disappoint! Food was excellent, staff were excellent and the place has just the right amount of French bistro vibes. The wine was also very good and recommended by our waiter - fortunately too because my knowledge of French wine is little to none. The mussels were a highlight - super fresh and tasty with just the right amount of spice. French onion soup, pork chop and the duck were also very very good. Oh, and the ice-creams were the boom! We’ll be back!
