We LOVE this darling restaurant and have been going for years. There seems to have been ownership turnover in the last few years, maybe twice? Still, count on a beautiful meal and take notes on what you love and you will be happy. The tiny, intimate environment in a charming historic home and "white glove" service is a time capsule so embrace its rarity, and the staff is so sincere and hopeful to make every visit a lovely dining experience. Sometimes it's the BEST and sometimes a little less, but we will always be true to Chez Loma! The pretty vintage bar and exceptional martinis are icing on the cake!
We went today for my daughter’s birthday and it was not a good experience. So disappointing! We dined inside and our service was just mediocre. The avocado toast was ridiculous - one tiny, thin piece of bread with a thin smear of what appeared to be packaged avocado for $15! We also got steak and eggs and our eggs came out scrambled, not over medium. The juice:blood from the steak ran into the the small pile fur scrambled eggs. Our server finally offered to refill our coffees, after we had finished our meals and then she didn’t follow through with it. She forgot. The bus person was great and was pretty attentive. We will not be going back.
We had Avocado Toast with poached egg, and loved the bread used! It was not heavy and toasted perfectly! A drizzle of chile oil provided just right amount of heat! All the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. Special shout out to Jennifer our waitress. She answered our questions and was attentive without being intrusive. We are making plans to come back for dinner!
Being from Paris, I’ve been searching for a good French restaurant, therefore I was very excited to try Chez Loma after seeing the reviews. While the waiters were very friendly and welcoming, the food was extremely disappointing and I paid 60$ for 2 appetizers and a glass of wine. I had to ask the waiter for some bread and butter which is customary in French restaurants and they came out with 4 tiny pieces and a hard piece of butter like I caught them off guard with such a simple demand. Then they proceeded to bring me two olives in a spoon which they called amuse bouche and were far from tasty. Finally the onion soup lacked flavor, the escargot lacked seasoning, the fries were delivious however. Overall the experience was disappointing and pricey.
We were the only two guests having brunch on Sunday morning. Food were so simple, limited, and nothing special. Orange juice and coffee were sadly served. The best is the server who had an upbeat and pleasant manner. She tried to provide us the best experience. Beware, the menu on the website isn't the same as what actually served.
Excellent food with fantastic service in a quaint atmosphere. Parking: Since it's street parking, it can be a challenge. For us the weather was nice and we found a space relatively close.
We haven't been here for a long time. We met some friends for brunch. It's an adorable place, but I believe they must be short staffed because that's where the majority of problems occurred. We had to ask so many times for coffee refills, salt & pepper, water or missing items from our order. I'll give it another shot, maybe?
Visited with a large group (15 people) from work. Food and hospitality we got was just amazing. I’m from Japan where service you get is high class in general, however I was impressed with the quality of the service we received and wanted to say a huge thank you. Would definitely recommend and return if I ever get a chance.
This place has very French ambience. Nestled in a cute & charming home like building. The food is delicious & authentic French. Excellent customer service. Rashid attended our table. He is courteous. He speaks French as well. He is a true Maître De Garçons.
