I just got back from Morocco (my partner is Moroccan and lives there but I am Canadian) and all of the food at Chez Fatima is so authentic. I showed him all the restaurants in Ottawa and photos of the food and asked him which one looked most Moroccan and he chose this one. Owner is so warm and kind and so are the servers. You can either do the buffet or the a la carte menu which is what we did. I’d recommend if you want to try everything, come after 6-630 as some items aren’t ready if you come earlier right when they open. We got there at 5:30 and tried to order pastilla but it wasn’t ready and other guests who arrived 30-40 min later were able to order it so just something to keep in mind. Food is amazing, flavourful, and the chef/owner comes out to speak with you! Well worth the visit. Vegetarian options: There’s lots of vegetarian options, including vegetable tagine, Moroccan salads, harira soup, couscous Parking: There’s a parking garage around the corner called the Leduc lot and it is free after 5:00pm until 6am.
Wonderful family owned restaurants serving the most delicious and high quality food
First time visit a week ago. The restaurant is very ordinary. Presented as family food. It is rather a buffet. Prices are not the ones shown on the website which are for delivery. Even the photos are not accurate. The food was not fresh or attractive. The couscous was rather spongy. The meat was stiff, overheated. The price is hefty for the place. Close to 100 $ for two persons. No service table. The fish never came. The one star is for the dessert. One leaves with the food odour attached to the clothes and body. Not worth the hype.
Its 9:15 pm and the restaurant is closed , on google maps it says 10 pm closing time , I walked in winter to have dinner but sad it’s closed .
