Just when for dinner with my family for the first time at Chevys! I gotta say I asked the manager about the reviews that I saw recently since after seeing them I was skeptical to go… She was nice enough to tell me that they are fixing the ceiling and that she had asked the people who claimed to get food poisoning to show her a hospital letter since it was a big bill and she couldn’t give the refund with no proof, she told me it was a table of 10 people and that apparently they all got food poisoning but none of them went to the hospital, she said she got mo problem giving a refund with proof, she reassured me that the kitchen was clean and even added that inspection came in today and they passed their test, I wanted to come to this place because of their fajitas and table side guacamole…. This was the best decision! Even though I wasnt sure I still wanted to try them out because you just can’t trust some reviews when this place has a ton of positive reviews! Me and my family loved this place and we will be back very soon to enjoy the Dj on friday!! Yohandy and Rebecca took great care of us

I came 5 years ago and I gave a 5 year rating. About a year ago, the food and service was horrible. I thought maybe by coming back and giving them a second chance things would have changed. But, I guess it didn't. The quality has gone down, it took 2 hours to serve 4 of us, the margarita had no alcohol, food was cold and we returned it back, my steak was burnt when I ordered a steak salad and their chips that were fresh are now like store-bought chips that taste horrible. It's official, I am NEVER going back!!!

So just a few days ago there was some reviews from people who ate there and got food poisoning to which the manager replied that it was probably the new cook. I believe the fungus is starting to spread to the ceiling above the kitchen. So let me begin this review by saying that I had written a review previously and the manager Jamie totally lied to me he didn't like my review and he asked me to take it off and he would refund the price of my dinner in cash which was the way that I paid. So we had dinner there on Wednesday and I gave the bad review and then today Friday I spoke to him in regards to my experience there and he promised me a refund when I went to the restaurant about 4:30 p.m. today to pick up my refund he instead decided that he was going to have me a gift card to go back to the disgusting restaurant. I asked him for the number to the corporation he gave me the wrong number I had to get back out of my car and go back in the restaurant and get the correct number from him and at that point I was upset at the immaturity of this manager. I had reconstructive surgery on my foot and recently had a cast removed so my leg and my foot is swollen and I had a post-op shoe on and as I was walking out the restaurant he told me make sure you get better very sarcastically. So my original bad review that I posted Wednesday night was because after we had our food I went into the bathroom to wash my hands and looked up to the ceiling and got so disgusted that I ended up puking in the bathroom No Lie. So today he offered me the cash refund back and like I said did not hold on to his word when I went to the restaurant. I've put in a call to the regional manager who I was told was the owner at the corporate office and I want to resolve this now at the corporate level. I have no need to try to get a free meal from Chevy's I used to enjoy Chevys in New York City many many years before I moved to Florida and trust me I have the money to eat wherever I want to eat this place was at my granddaughter's suggestion cuz she wanted to take me to dinner. I will be very careful with this place because this fungus is a horrendous problem and if it's all the bathroom ceiling of the bathroom and they actually have a crack in the ceiling then I'm sure it may be on the ceiling of other places of this restaurant. I want to hear from the regional manager and I will continue to call corporate in California until I get a resolution to this disrespect that I was treated with at this restaurant today in front of my granddaughter. We were given a gift card that we're not going to be able to use cuz I'm never going back to the disgusting restaurant so something else has to be done we're requesting another type of accommodation which is the cash that I want it back from him in the first place. Please see my pictures that I have attached and see if you want to eat some place like this So as an edit to this review let me just say that I went on to dpbr records today in Miami and found out that the situation has been existing since they went to visit in the beginning of November at which time the dpBR also found that there was more than fungus in the kitchen area. I was told by Jaime when I was at the restaurant on Friday that they were having someone correct this issue on Saturday which I know was a lie and I've called corporate again today and I'm waiting for the for a call from the regional manager I was promised to call by 4:00 p.m. today 1:00 p.m. California time and I will continue to call and I will continue to investigate next call Department of Health. Bottom line don't try to screw over my granddaughter who was making a beautiful gesture of taking me to dinner.

I got food poisoning Saturday from this place with a group of friends. We all got sick- vomiting and diarrhea. The management offered to give a refund and told me to call back the next day at 3:00pm. However, when I called they denied that they said that and told me to get a note from the hospital. They had also admitted that others were sick over the weekend from eating there. The food was great, but I am stunned and very upset by the handling of this matter. Mind you that some people in the group who are sick are doctors who are well aware that this was food poisoning. This experience has been very upsetting to say the least and I will be reporting this establishment to the health department so no one else gets sick.
