Chef Lang Sushi

Food: 4/5 the nigiri here is amazing!! I would avoid getting the sashimi here in the future, they are real fatty and I don’t think they are marinated beforehand so doesn’t have any unique taste to them. • Aburi Kagoshima A5 Wagyu with caviar nigiri 5/5 yummy ! • Scallops nigiri 5/5 so so soooo good!!! The texture and flavor is mind blowingly good for takeout sushi • Salmon Sashimi 3/5 super fatty pieces • Unagi nigiri 5/5 perfect marination and taste! • Hokkaido Scallops Sashimi 3/5 nothing special about the taste here • Aburi Bluefin tuna Otoro nigiri 4/5 • bluefin tuna chutoro nigiri 3/5 really fatty • Aburi Kagoshima A5 Wagyu nigiri 4/5 • Aburi salmon toro nigiri 4/5 Can’t comment on the service as this is a takeout only experience. There was someone there to bring out the order and if the order was ready before we got there, the order would be in the locker and the person would be there to help get the locker open. I hope cheflangsushi can get their menu ordering fixed on their website! Hoping to see the special omakase option on there as it is missing from DoorDash. Right now I can only order from this place from DoorDash order platform and it is missing some of the special sushi’s that is mentioned on the website. The packaging is nice as there is a ice pack included in the large white bag. There are utensils, wasabi and soy sauce packets. Price wise this place is $$$$ Great quality for takeout

*UPDATE*: The 2nd order here was meh... Uni isn't fresh, nigiris were smaller than usual in a big tray and of course, they all shifted to one side If I were to drive all the way from Berkeley to SJ just to get such small portion and bad packaging, I might as well just stick with my local basic sushi shops... ===1st time here=== It's alright, the quality is better than the actual restaurants.

Amazing sushi and so close to home! We ordered a variety of rolls, sashimi, and nigiri. Quality is top notch!

Chef Lang Sushi is our favorite sushi takeaway in South Bay, the fish quality is very fresh, Special Omakase nigiri needs to be ordered in advance on the website, our Omakase sushi has Japanese seasonal fish, Otoro, Hokkaido uni, caviar, black truffle The combination is simply perfect. The sea urchin is very fresh and sweet, highly recommended, thank you chef!

The size of sushi pieces were perfect. Minimum use of sauce and the taste was fine. However, they all look the same, taste the same, and the fish topping was less than desirable. Although we ordered 6 rolls, we finished all of them by the two of us. The wasabi was in sachets which was first for us. Order was ready on time and you pick it up from the food lockers.
