Che Bello

My wife and I recently went to this restaurant under new management and we had a very good meal. The service provided by Alfredo was friendly and efficient. Our food overall was great. My wife had the mushroom fettuccine which had a rich, mushroomy flavor but not overpowering and I had the grilled salmon with citrus glaze and a mushroom orzo pasta side. This was the only lower point on our visit. The salmon had a lovely flavor but was overdone by a couple of minutes and was a bit chewy. This could easily be corrected and is a common mistake made in the Midwest when it comes to fish. I would also suggest an upgrade to their white wine list which could easily be done without increasing price by much if at all. I almost forgot the Truffle fries appetizer. These are the best truffle fries in Bloomington and a must have with your favorite beverage as you choose from the menu of what I would expect to be a very good meal.

Considering Che Bello just reopened under new management, they've really done a great job. We went for Sunday Brunch, and everything we ordered was spot on. The Biscuits & Gravy were flavorful and plentiful, and the waffles and pancakes were perfect! Service was a tad slow, but that's to be expected as they get ramped up. Could also use some "freshening" of the restaurant, but that's just being picky. Ignore the reviews from 3-4 months ago... the new owners have done a great job turning this into a restaurant worthy of repeat visits!

My wife and I had dinner on Sunday night and it was fantastic! Karlo took great care of us... even taking time to give us a tour of the entire restaurant when we were done including the upstairs balcony and the private dining room in the back. We're looking forward to hosting our daughter's baby shower in that great space. Sam made us some great cocktails from behind the bar and Karlo was responsive and fun. We loved the teamwork of the staff. Whenever anyone came by the table, they checked on us and removed finished items. You don't see that kind of training and top-notch service in many restaurants in Bloomington. The Cognac Mushroom Fettuccine and the Pasta allo Scoglio were to die for. We had a wonderful Chiante and finished dinner with Chocolate Gelato and espresso martini. Bloomington now has an exquisite Italian restaurant...Che Bello!

Everything was amazing. The food was something i’ve never tasted in my mouth before. Drinks? Amazing! I would drink them everyday if I had no consequences lol The bartender Sam? He’s amazing! Fits the drink to what i want! Alfredo and Juan Carlos are amazing servers and know exactly what I need at all times. 100/10 would come again please check this place out! amazing service all around!

This place is AMAZING cannot recommend this place enough, service was fast and so friendly. Alfredo, Sam, and Juan Carlos were so amazing and attentive, the drinks and food were fantastic!

Such horrible experience today. They had a mess with all the reservations so we literally had to wait almost an hour to be sat. Once sat, 40 mins to get drinks and appetizers and another 35 mins to get the entree. Also food got cold by time we got it.Very disappointing. Vegetarian options: Not almost any vegetarian options. Parking: Square, very difficult to park.
