CHAR ATX has closed, but a new truck took its place. The new one is called OTOSHI and the food is amazing!

In a city like Austin, it’s hard to stand out. Otoshi makes its mark by surprising you. The Chinese donut is not what you expect, but is 10 times better. It’s warmed on the grill, so you get the flavor of the fire, then they top it off with a sweet cream and sesame seeds. The meat offerings are deliciously savory and a bit sweet, but well balanced. The place they could improve on would be having more combinations so I can try more of the skewers. Otoshi is a great addition to Fierce Whiskers Distillery!

The Chinese donuts here are to die for! I came to visit Fierce Whiskers with a group of friends, and dropped by Char to pick up dinner for myself and my husband after. I 100% ate all of the donuts before I brought them home. The skewers were delicious, though one was actually too spicy for me! They took my order quickly and were more than willing to accommodate when I missed the text message for pick up. They actually brought it into the distillery for me! My coworkers all commented on how delicious everything was, and I did share a donut or two before I demolished them. All in all, I would come back again! The weather was lovely, and having such an excellent food truck near a whisky distributer makes high spirits and a killer combination every time.

Wow. This food was amazing! We stopped in just on a Google search after being at McKinney State Park. I did not realize it was at a distillery so when we pulled up with kids, it wasn’t ideal, but so glad we did! The Brussel sprouts are probably the best I’ve ever had. The beef was phenomenal, chicken was delish. If I lived in Austin, I’d eat there all the time! They don’t do take out, but accommodated us. Thank you! Will be back the next time in Austin

Amazing. I have food from CHAR ATX in my mouth, and I want more already.

Sits next to a whisky distillery, if you want some drinks. On Friday night when I went, there was live music outside. The menu was pretty small but all the items were great. I had some friends with me and we tried everything they had. Both guys inside the trailer were super chill and nice. Would gladly come back again.
