Wow!!! Excellent service!! The oignon soup was very very good and the filet mignon was delicious… Would absolutely recommend this restaurant..
Amazing as always. The food was exceptional. Every visit to San Francisco must include dinner at Chapeau. We are never disappointed.
The exorbitant price of the meal was not justified by its quality. I had anticipated a culinary experience comparable to the finest I had encountered in Paris, but instead, the meal was far inferior and would have been more appropriately priced at half the cost.
The bread was fresh and with a good crunch. Escargot was hot with lots of garlic and basil - great for bread dipping. The salmon trio looked cute but nothing special. The pork tenderloin was moist and tender. The charred cauliflower was tasty but the risotto was soft but the flavor was just ok. The French toast with caramel ice cream parred well and the chocolate lava cake with vanilla oozed out. Excellent service. The cook greeted us and the workers filled out hot water cups and wine. $35 for wine corkage fee.
