There are lots of food options, and amazing desserts. Drinks were unique and delicious. A little short staffed, but very nice.
Truth be told, the family and have only eaten breakfast here throughout the years. When my children are given options for breakfast, this is their top 3, always. My wife and I keep our fingers crossed as breakfast here is a feast. Pork chops, steak and eggs, chicken fried steak and eggs Benedict are great options, parking can be challenging but always a short walk, the stores throughout are nice as well.
Food was very cold. Service was slow but very friendly. Biscuits and gravy were very dry. We asked for more gravy and were given 1 very small container of gravy. Hashbrowns were very cold. Never got asked to refill coffee. A lil pricey.
Love this place. The service is great, nice atmosphere, and the food is delicious. Get the French toast, trust me.
One of La Mesa Village's own jewels is the American & Italian food and drink stylings at Centifonti's. There's no air of pretension here, just delicious, affordable food that ranges from pastas to burgers to tacos and more. I really enjoyed their happy hour, your glass and plate won't be left empty long, with the speedy, knowledgeable service. I ordered the $7 happy hour margarita and my friend the $7 cosmos. Rather than the watered down liquid in small cocktail glasses, both were expertly mixed with fresh ingredients. We paired our drinks with $10 garlic teriyaki wings, which were juicy and OMG, the sauce was amazing. (Yes, so amazing that my dining partner asked for a spoon so he could collect every last drop. We also ordered the $10 sliders and fries, burger and fries were cooked to perfection (no soggy or limp fries at this establishment). The same was true about the potato skins, crisp on the outside while soft and fluffy and simply miraculous on the inside. We were pretty full but the coffee bar, dessert case (everything made in house, some by family!), and gelato. The owner, Carol happened to be doing the books at a nearby table and told us about her rich family history. Many of the offerings are family recipes. We liked the atmosphere near the gelato and dessert vs the almost cafeteria like area where sports were shown (my dining partner thought it could use some updated styling) and next time might sit at the bar, where there were several folks laughing and chatting up the friendly staff and expert bartenders. We'll be back, and soon. Parking: Parking isn't usually very difficult on weeknights, you may have to walk a few blocks and feed the meters, which stop at 6pm.
