$1 tacos on Tuesday. Service is worth $1. They have to learn that great service gets people in and out for more business. We waited entirely too long for EVERYTHING. Bad service night for Celia.

A bit disappointed in this place. I've gone to a few other Celia's restaurants and Loved them and to be honest I was bummed when I came here! The food was pretty standard- nothing stood out as better than average. The drinks on the others hand were TERRIBLE! I always loved the margs at Celia's and these ones were watered down and basic. I also ordered a michelada and it was literally the worst I've ever had.. it tasted like just beer with a splash of Clamato and didn't even come with a salted rim! Probably won't return back to this place.. bummer.

#OnlyGiving1StarBecauseICantGive0Don't ever come here if you're in a hurry. My wife and I stopped through on our way home from the beach for what we thought would be a quick and easy to-go order of tacos and enchiladas. The bartender told me to order from the hostess, who then said the food would be ready in about 15 minutes. I've never been to a Mexican restaurant that took longer than 5 minutes, but okay. After waiting for 45 MINUTES and the hostess dodging me and pretending to be busy, we got our food and no surprise, it wasn't anything to write home about. Definitely will never go back.

3.5 starsThe last time I came here was 5 years ago and was quite disappointing. After hearing that they reopened under new management, I decided to give another try and had a much better meal. We came on a Thursday and were promptly seated - the restaurant was 1/3 full and we were able to pick where we wanted to sit. The football game was being shown on a projection TV with subtitles so if you were not into the game it wasn't a bother. The guy who bought us chips asked if we wanted to try their salsa verde and another hotter salsa, we said yes but he never returned. Our waitress was on point, with both our drinks and food orders. The house margaritas were good although small ( 3-4 sips worth) and somewhat expensive for being made with a cheap mixto tequila ($7 each). The enchiladas with mole sauce were really good although kind of small ($13.50) - the rice and beans that came with were perfect.Pros- Waitress was friendly and attentive- Food was good- Easy parkingCons- Chips and salsa guy was inattentive / forgot about us - Food and margaritas were expensive for smallish portionsReturn Visit- Maybe

3.5 Stars!I have passed this place numerous times (my friend lived right in the area) and pondered about what it looks like inside. It's small, colorful. I LIKE IT!Pros:Attentive waitress, easy to talk to if I had a quick question to ask.Was able to accommodate 11 people. It was a band directly in the middle (you're forced to yell at friends) and they played 'LA BAMBA'No really, they... played La Bamba, though...The refried beans, coleslaw and rice was delish!Strawberry margarita was also delish!Cons:The fish tacos weren't great.I had to use a lime to make it fishy. The fish itself were the grilled kind. They were chunky cut fishes and it was hard to eat.My friend ordered fajitas and it smelled SO GOOD. So, I think there are plenty of options for you to try but that's if you mind trying it over and over...I would go back for drinks with my friends, even though I dug the service, the food wasn't spectacular. Am I out of pocket for having low expectations of GOOD MEXICAN food in the Sunset?

6/25/2013I go here aaaaaaaaaall the time! I *love* their California Burrito (I get it *minus* the carne asada because I am a vegetarian). It actually has FRENCH FRIES in it -- mmmmm! :-9 Reminds me of burritos that I get down in San Diego (they always seem to put a unique twist on them down there... ). The chips and salsa they put out before you get your food are really good, and I usually go through two or three bowls of the chips (and two or three sides of the salsa) before my actual entree comes out. Yum-yum! Good and attentive service. Water is always refilled promptly. Friendly atmosphere. I'm proud that this is a restaurant in my neighborhood. 5-stars!
