Cedar River Seafood of Gainesville

Best seafood I have come across in the Gainesville area. Went on a Sunday afternoon very busy but service was on par. Lots of food everything is so good!

Food is always delicious

Been coming here since I was little, I'm 22 if that means anything. Food is always great. Unfortunately the last 3 times I've had issues with service. All 3 times they were not busy with maybe 3 or 4 other tables. The first 2 times after 10 minutes I said something to the host and then someone Finally came over. 1 time they apologized and the other the server was rude and seemed annoyed. This last time we went in, there were 5 tables with people. Host sat us down right away and said someone will be right over. After 10 minutes nobody came to get our drinks or anything. 1 server was talking with a table and the other workers all were standing around talking. A couple minutes later we left and the host saw us and didn't say a word. Sad that a long term customer is going somewhere else because they're favorite spot has changed. Time to find a new place I guess.

Place is amazing, food is yummy, stuff so friendly. I love this place. Definitely would recommend it to everyone

Classic Seafood. Have never had any issues with food quality. The portions have not changed the entire time I have eaten here. The prices have gone up a $2.00-$3.00 dollars for the Shrimp. Only change is they used to offer a smaller option kind of a lunch size for dinner, but don’t anymore. One of the only places in town that the price reflects the serving size left in Gainesville. You will leave full. Dating myself here, but have been coming to this place for 15 years. My Granny and Dad loved coming here. Many family birthday celebrations. Service can be hit or miss as far as personality , but you see the hustle and effort that most of them have. They are working and not on their phones or just standing around. Kid-friendliness: Never had an issue with my kids and service.
