Amazing food and atmosphere!! The golf course is peaceful and beautiful!!!

The food is meh at best. Pricey for what you get Disappointing

During our recent visit to Cayton's Restaurant, our experience was a blend of both delightful and underwhelming moments. The restaurant, being part of the renowned Ritz-Carlton establishment, set high expectations that were not entirely met. Regrettably, the main dish I opted for, a burger, was overcooked, lacking the juiciness and flavor one would anticipate in a high-end dining context. Additionally, the fries that accompanied the burger were undercooked, leading to a disappointing texture and overall taste experience. On a brighter note, my wife's choice of the farmhouse salad with chicken, mixed greens, avocados, and pears was a highlight of our meal. She thoroughly enjoyed the freshness and the harmonious blend of flavors, which demonstrated the kitchen's capability to excel. However, a notable disappointment came from the BBQ dinner, specifically the Mac and cheese, which was expected to complement the barbecue offerings delightfully. Contrary to our expectations for a hearty and comforting side dish, the Mac and cheese lacked the appealing creamy and indulgent quality one would look forward to. Although it was evidently homemade, it didn't meet the visual or taste standards that we anticipated, especially in the context of a barbecue meal at such a prestigious venue. In sum, while there were aspects of our meal at Cayton's Restaurant that we enjoyed, particularly the salad, other components, including the integral part of the BBQ dinner, were not up to par with the high standards we expected from a Ritz-Carlton dining experience.

We have visited twice in a month. And 5x in the last 2 years. Keeps getting worse. Food quality is below any Ritz we’ve ever visited. Very slow service. Menu leaves much to be desired. Also noticed later we were over charged on 3 items this evening. Not to mention an offensive $28 for a spicy marg? Side note; front gate personal was beyond rude today. “I don’t have your name, you need to turn around and leave.” Excuse me, we made the res an hour ago and even if they lost the name, it’s not busy, I see many more time’s available. “Well we don’t have your name. Move your car. Call them, fine. Tell them Jackie told you no.” Called. Manager said; of course come up. Turns out they had our name incorrectly. We are members and have family who have lived 5 min away for over 15 years.. She was an ugly representation of the brand. It’s too bad, we have loved this spot in years prior. Beautiful view.

went here in Oct 2023, highly recommend! Was outside for sunset (incredible vibe) and the portions were huge. Mac and cheese + burger were awesome. Would go again many times

This is THEE premier dining experience in all of the Dove Mountain/Oro Valley area, 2nd to none, without a doubt! Ready for a secret? Happy Hour from 3-6 was VERY REASONABLE. Setting: 10/10 stars whether inside or out you have a choice of pristine seating options, near the driving range outside or inside by the swanky bar or double fireplace. Speaking of fireplaces, outside seating also offers a dual fireplace for cozy evening events. We had an incredible view of the golf course with a fabulous sunset in a stunning setting. Service: 10/10 stars with wonderful Alyssa (pronounced Eh-LISA) and her beaming smile, she was SUPER attentive, kind and over-the-top accommodating any reasonable request made by our dining party. Kitchen: 10/10 stars as they happily replaced the pork with salmon on their phenomenal flatbread. Uh....TRY IT! How delicious to meet you! If that wasn't great enough, their tap list featured one of our most favorite IPAs from Tirrito Farms of Wilcox, Arizona as their Tombstone-like NECTARON IPA is mind blowing. The wine list is nothing short of spectacular, but spectacular may fall a little short in describing this incredible destination. The other plus is Cayton’s always goes out of their way for special requests. That’s so refreshing isn’t it?! Hello!? Uh, get there, like now.

Great food and location. Casual and classy. As always it’s the service that matters the most and it sure was great tonight.

Dining experience at 5:15 PM (reservation time) on 9/9/23 The atmosphere, food, and especially the serving team exceeded even the standards I have come to appreciate from industry-leading Ritz Carlton. My son and I had so much fun chatting with the team who provided an extra special experience for the two of us.

We met Caly at Cayton’s. She was the nicest server ever. Also she spoke Japanese perfectly! I will definitely be back here to sed her! The restaurant was sooo beautiful at sunset!
