Good, but very expensive for drinks.
The Catalyst Restaurant's reviews here are as I experienced. I had the pleasure to work a business event there, & our assigned staff Cassandra & Carlos were absolutely accommodating & friendly the entire time, on point & always proactive in assisting us to have a great event. For lunch, I ordered the Catalyst burger medium rare with extra fries - the burger was made to order, nicely seared & fries were simply deelish. I look forward to returning here on a personal level with Family & friends, or even for work again. Warm positive vibes all around & just excellent service - what a gem!
Been to this restaurant more than five times so fair to say the seafood there is consistently good. But the steak is a No No. The service definitely has room for improvement. Only business meals as it’s close to work.
Great lunch menu! I loved their bolognese a delight!
Excellent restaurant!. We were served at a reasonable pace on our 2-person date. The salad was tasty, we asked for bread for $3, the pumpkin soup was perfect, and the fusilli bolognesis was perfect. We enjoyed our bottle of rosé and the environment was nice too. It’s been open for indoor dining (post-pandemic) for ~1 week and they are doing great! Book ahead of time...
Dined with a large group, and our server was excellent. I personally had the catalyst burger, it was delicious. I also tried the pita chips and hummus sampler.... unique flavor, I would order again. I wasn't a fan of the espresso martini taste, but it was pretty. :)
A spacious and versatile venue in Kendall Square that is popular for private events and business meals. With its expansive layout and sophisticated ambiance, Catalyst has been one of my top picks for lunch with my colleagues. The overall quality of the food here is great for the price, and the service was also good throughout my past visits. From their appetizers, the most interesting dish was their squash rings. Encased in a light tempura batter, the squash rings were predominantly sweet, but it still had a subtle hint of salty, sour, and spicy notes from Turkish spices. The Seared Blue Cod and the Pork Bolognese were my favorites from the entrées. Resting atop a savory chowder, the cod was transformed into a comforting and hearty dish. The olive oil-soaked mashed pototoes, which I’m typically inclined to skip, proved to be an exceptional companion to the dish. The Bolognese was served with a light yet flavorful pork rag sauce, which boasted a pleasant level of spice and umami. The Catalyst burger was the only dish that I found to be a miss. While the patty itself was succulent, it lacked the essential umami punch. The choice to serve condiments separately - mayo, sweet mustard, and a sweet hot sauce - offered customization but failed to impart the much-needed saltiness. The fries were also extremely bland, so I ended up eating only two pieces. Among restaurants in this category in Cambridge, Catalyst is definitely a top choice without a doubt. For those seeking an upscale yet affordable dining experience suitable for large groups, Catalyst would be a great option. Parking: Paid parking garage - Technology Square Garage
