Arrived at 8:30 on Saturday Jan 13. Pressed the call box and gave the password. Woman said she didn’t have a reservation for us and she was very rude. We explained that we had a confirmation and she buzzed us in. There was only one other party down there so I don’t understand why they gave us such a hard time. Both employees seemed like they just wanted the day to end. I don’t drink alcohol for personal reasons and I was the designated driver so I ordered a mocktail. When the bartender got to our table to grab our drink orders, he looked over our papers and asked “does someone really want a mocktail? You know that’s for pregnant women, right?” We were all taken aback and I said “Yes I want a mocktail please, I’m not pregnant” He scoffed and stormed off frustratingly. There’s lots of reasons why people don’t drink. Medical reasons, can’t mix with medications, recovering alcoholics, not just pregnancy. Maybe he was trying to be funny but he came off very irritated . He came back with a drink for me that was just pineapple juice and a burning cinnamon stick. I wrote on my paper that I wanted a floral bubbly mocktail and this was just not it. They charged me $11 for that pineapple juice. Crazy. My friends were also taking pictures of each other sitting at the table with their drinks and the bartender screamed from across the room “THIS IS A SPEAKEASY. YOU CAN’T TAKE PICTURES OF THE ROOM!!” We apologized and payed the bill and left without finishing our drinks we were so embarrassed. As I look at other reviews on here, there are many posts pictures of the whole room. Beware if the pretentious hipsters that work here do not recommend.

Great place for a date night to sit and enjoy some fantastic cocktails

After my visit last night I’m pleased to say I will be returning. I’ve been to a few places claiming to be speakeasies before but this was by far the most authentic.I see a lot of reviews complaining about the smoke.I can’t understand what people were expecting when they walked in. The cocktails have a smoked option and it’s a small intimate venue with limited seating, hence the reservation necessity. Why the surprise? IT’S A SPEAKEASY!! Speaks WERE smoky, cozy hideouts and thankfully, this time around it’s not cigarette or cigar smoke, it’s a light, fragrant smoke that adds a little authenticity to the experience. Yes it got stuck in my hair too but shampoo works folks!Stop whining!If you want your standard IBA cocktails and modern day atmosphere then visit any other bar in Huntsville.And finally, the cocktails are made to order and this would be the main reason I return. Know your tastebuds and ask if you’re not sure. For the best experience, try to be open-minded and push the envelope when choosing flavors. Trust the bartender’s recommendations.

Amazing and unique drinks with outstanding service. Very small venue that requires reservations and a password to get in the door. Highly highly recommend.

Great experience, I suggest going on a warm night because it can be hard to find the entrance. Drinks were amazing, so was the atmosphere. It can be more expensive than you may think, be prepared.

Definitely enjoyed my visit. The mixer was so people friendly and made sure we were satisfied. The drinks were very enjoyable and creative. Definitely will be back soon

Great experience. Bartenders are excellent. Laid back feeling that still captures the essence of a speakeasy.
