Castaways On The Lake

If you are outside, and the weather is good, the view makes it worthwhile. The food is pretty average, the prices are high and the inside is not that clean.

This is always a great place to eat, but especially during warm weather. The view from the deck is so beautiful and relaxing! Food has never disappointed - it's worth every penny. Staff are friendly and attentive. An absolute favorite!

Great atmosphere, decent service, and ok food.

The location was nice, but the food was poor. Wilted brown lettuce on a thin, overcooked grouper sandwich. Table was dirty too. The place smells like stale beer and looks like it has not been cleaned in 10 years.

Really enjoyed the view and the food. The breeze off the lake made it prefect. Every flavor hit the spot. We had the fried calamari, and lobster roll. So good.

Loved the scallops and the honey buffalo shrimp ! Server was quick and efficient and the view being on the lake was gorgeous. Plenty of shade on the patio as well. Perfect dinner ! Oh and we took a key lime pie slice to go. Mouth watering good. Ate even every crumb of crust.

Today was the first time I ever went there, and it was for our anniversary dinner. If you like outdoor dining on the waters edge, this is a great place! A bit pricey, I felt, but you are also paying for the ambience, among other things, and if dining on the South Shore of Lake Ontario is your thing, this is a good place! I recommend the Castaways Shore Platter or the Surf & Turf combo with the 14 oz. New York Strip & 8 oz. Lobster tail. 2 sides come with it. We also had fried Calamari for an appetizer. Lightly breaded, and the marinara dipping sauce was amazing!
