Castaway Bay Indoor Waterpark Hotel

When my family and I arrived at Castaway Bay Water Park, we were buzzing with excitement, ready for a weekend of water-filled fun. As we checked into our room, our excitement waned a bit when we noticed some cleanliness issues. To our surprise, we found a vape lying on the floor near our bed, which was definitely not a pleasant sight. Adding to the frustration, the bathroom sink seemed to have a mind of its own, stubbornly clogging up every 30 minutes after use. It was a bit of a hassle, to say the least. However, despite these initial hiccups, we were pleased with the overall atmosphere of the park. The water activities were a blast, with slides that got our hearts racing and lazy pools where we could just relax and float along. The highlight, though, was the sense of security provided by the attentive lifeguards. They were always on their toes, ready to jump into action at the slightest sign of trouble. It was reassuring to see such dedication to guest safety. So, while our room may not have been spotless, and the sink may have caused us a bit of inconvenience, the thrill of the water park and the peace of mind provided by the vigilant lifeguards made our stay at Castaway Bay a memorable one. With a little more attention to cleanliness, this place could easily become a top-notch destination for families looking for a splash-tastic getaway.

Found a live bed bug in a suite room. Spoke to Joe the manager who did not want to do anything about it. Do not go there unless you want to spend the day at a laundromat and wasting even more money!!! Picture is from a video of it crawling

We stayed a night, while we enjoyed the water park itself, the room was very sub par. The sofa sleeper seat was very dirty. The shower/tub drain was not functional, we are a party of two adults and three kids so it was a huge hassle holding the drain open until the water is fully drained after each shower. One of the lamps next to the sleeper sofa didn’t work either. We did tell the front desk, they didn’t do anything to fix this beyond writing down our room number. There should also be another elevator as it takes forever (we were on the third floor). As for the good part, I will say the life guards at the tadpole pool for little kids were very vigilant and looking around continually to ensure everything was running smoothly and were stopping kids from running to prevent injury. Only if the rooms were better we would definitely come back but will try Great Wolf Lodge or Kalahari unless the management makes this right. Rooms: Rooms were sub standard Safety: Facility was safe. Noteworthy details: Good indoor water park for kids.

Front desk staff was very off-putting when we checked in. We only stayed one night and woke up to bed bugs in both beds and when checking out we told the manager and we were told they would have maintenance investigate and when we got home we called and they said they didn't find anything in the room despite us having photo evidence they said that it doesn't show the room to verify that it's one of their rooms smh never staying here again plus everything was so expensive

Great place to watch the eclipse

Had a ball in the water park, bowling, mini golf and arcade. The rooms are nice accept when it was time for bed. I pulled the covers back and there was a BED BUG!! We called the Manager she saw it and we got a full refund and a new room. I would have left but we had too many kids with us. They do not have where you can just pay for the day so I won't be back. The rooms are ridiculously expensive.

My kids had an absolute blast! The only downed phone is that everyone in the pool that is holding a pole for each activity needs to all get online with each other! Because there was sometimes my daughter could get on the ride because she was tall enough literally and then some would say that she wasn't tall enough and she would literally stand up to the pool and I would have to almost argue with them!
