Casa's has been our favorite Italian restaurant for 40+ years. Not anymore! This last time did it for us. A full size(dinner)order of cavatelli and a large house salad was $33. The prices have gotten outrageous. It's hit and miss on the pasta being saucy enough or half dried out. We even had a waitress keep our $57 that was remaining on a gift card, we literally had to chase her down to get it back.
Normally I'm not one to leave reviews, especially negative ones. I ordered the shrimp scampi for nearly $20 and was pretty disappointed. Both the shrimp and the pasta were pretty bland with none of the crisp lemony garlic flavor one would expect from shrimp scampi in a restaurant that specializes in Italian food. The cheesy garlic bread was ok, but tasted more like a slightly garlicky grilled cheese. Using better bread would go a long way, I could tell it was highly processed white bread as if they had a loaf of wonderbread in the back. Cmon guys. You are Casa Ristorante, not a Coney Island.
Service was great and the pork tenderloin sandwich was excellent! One of the best I’ve had actually. My wife had the Italian sub and was also pleased. Great day for a lunch here! Thank you!
