I came here during a vacation expecting good Tex-Mex. But that didn't happen. I walked in having a 24 Oz margaritas I bought previously ( not from restaurant). And a lady walked up with an attitude and didn't even greet me " You need to finish that. " So one of my family members grabbed it and quickly drank it outside. So we get seated and. I got water chips and guacamole salad. But it had a wierd saouse on top so i asked the waitress. She said she dosent know and gave a guess it was sent back. Then I ordered a platter. Cheese enchilada( no onions ), taco, stew meat, and a tamale. So I get it and I start to eat my enchilada but I noticed there are onions in it so I stop eating it. I then I try my stew means and it's ok. I get to my taco. It was burnt on the edges so I didn't eat it. But the tamale I opend up and it was very greasy so I wiped my hands. And then take a bite. Was horrible. But a band did come in and play " Sweet Caroline " pretty good for trumpet and two guitars. But I complained to the Manger and told him and will not be coming back. I went here a few years ago it was good but it sucked this time.
This is very much a touristy restaurant with large portions of mediocre food. It was fun to sit outside by the river and people watch, but don't expect a stellar meal.
Excellent Mexican restaurant right on the riverwalk, with riverside seating! Very good food and prices! We enjoyed it so much we ate there twice during our riverwalk adventure!
Short and to the point we are 4th generation Texans. When we were seated they couldn't get us out fast enough.. Then I saw they started charging for chips and salsa. Fajitas were cold and enchilada plates were gross. This placed used to be a staple but is disgusting now. Businesses like this hide beside inflation and are filled with greed. Personally if I here a place in Texas is charging for chips and salsa I never go. Enjoy the tourist and horrible service and terrible food.. Other better options are The Original (twice as good) or Mi Tierra. Don't waste your time on this "authentic" Mexican place. If I came back I'd throw the chips in the river and order rice. Kid-friendliness: too many
Absolutely the best restaurant on the Riverwalk. You haven't experienced San Antonio until you eat here
