The staff are all very pleasant but compounding issues warranted this bad review. It took a full 30 minutes for one drink and there were at least 3-4 empty tables. This isn’t an exaggeration. The second drink was a beer and after 20 minutes I got up and ordered it myself from the bar. I got two sincere apologies and zero discounts On to the food. This was massively disappointing even if the prices weren’t 50% higher than the local competition. Salsa was great, chorizo queso was great and it ends there. We had four dinners and combined you would need a spectrometer to detect the amount of seasoning used. It all tasted like it was boiled in water. Again, the staff were all great, but the food and speed of service was bottom of the barrel atrocious and I hope they take this to heart as I don’t like seeing good people fail and not know why
Food was excellent for all four is who had lunch together. Outstanding service and wonderful atmosphere. Vegetarian options: I enjoyed the power bowl. But they also had vegetarian options for tacos and enchiladas. Most had cheese. Kid-friendliness: There were children eating while we were dining. High chairs available.
I mostly order through DoorDash for my work breaks. I am happy they have gluten free options, with celiac it is hard to find options especially amazing food like this. I can’t wait to find time to come in and enjoy the atmosphere.
Not very authentic. Tried to order some nopal and she didnt even know what that was. Then i tried to order chile toreado and again didnt know what that was. The fajitas were terrible more vegetables and very little skirt steak. Not coming back...
Such a beautiful building and delicious food good atmosphere!!!
Amazing brunch and drinks!! Love Casa Real!
Worst restaurant experience ever for me and my family of five. Place was not busy at all. It took 15 minutes to get our drinks ordered. Waited another 15 minutes to just order our food. Our queso dip came out so cold it wasn’t even edible they had to take it back to warm it up. It took 30 more minutes for our food to come out. The food was so bad that my family of 5 each got different things and we could barely eat it. The three kids only ate the rice. I tried to talk to the owner respectfully about it and he told me I was insulting him and his food and charged me $105 or he was calling the police. Avoid this place at all cost!
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Springfield. The iced tea is served in a tall glass (made of glass even!) with lots of ice and is perfect every single time. The food is delicious and tastes fresh. It's a festive atmosphere from the colorful decor to the lively music to the friendly servers. Highly recommend Casa Real for a satisfying lunch or dinner with family & friends.
