After a very long wait, my family was able to enjoy a late afternoon at Casa Bonita! This place is truly magical and everything it is made out to be. Since the 80s...I've come here with my parents as a kid, with my sports teams, with my wife, with my wife and friends, with my family, and now with my daughters and grandkids. Very pleased and happy that it's open again...Atmosphere is just incredible...with the music, the characters, clean smell of the water, roar of the volcano, and the anticipation for exploring while eating a very good dinner. Our servers were outstanding - friendly and patient with us even though they were busy.... fantastic attitudes that embodied the spirit of the restaurant to the T! The four adults in our group had different options and shared - it was delicious, well plated, and so filling. I also had an extra sopapilla that the kids couldn't eat...so yummy! It is pricey and the reservation process is painful. Parking was crowded. Security is a new but welcomed twist to the experience. Once you get inside though it's classic Casa Bonita - with shine! I can't recommend making the effort to enjoy this gem enough. The kids get a map detailing the characters that they need to "find" throughout the property. And don't miss the extra magic show, puppet show, and a revamped Black Bart's Cave (kids under 10 were terrified, so awesome job!). Also, everyone gets a coin to make a wish at the Wishing Well! These all share the same feel as the restaurant. Oh, and cliff divers are back, gotta see them at least a few times while there...The arcade is not the highlight I remember it to be, but the munchkins got face painting and balloons galore so nobody noticed. At the exit you'll find a small museum that shows the history of Casa Bonita. No treasure for the kids though. Still, it's a neat way to conclude your time at Casa Bonita. It was a wonderful afternoon. Thank you!

We went with friends. It was fun and entertaining. Food was good. Too noisy for casual conversation.

Our attendant was great, the rice was salty, carnitas was good, need to offer spicier salsa. Everything was good the only complaint is I couldn't get seating for 8 which is the maximum you can get, I was only able to get seating for 4 but when we were in there, there was plenty of seating for 8 and was never used while we were there. I don't know why they put that option on the website when you can't get it. Just so you know if you get the email to log in at a certain time for tickets just log in at that time, I logged in 10min. after and their were over 4000 people in front of me on the wait list to reserve tickets.

Everything was beyond amazing EXCEPT the food. We are not picky eaters at all. We actually liked the old food. We are easy to please, but the new food was just horrible. I have never left soo much food on the table. We got the christmas enchiladas and the Chile Rellenos. They were beyond terrible. The kids got chicken strips with fries and those were great! But adult food I would not recommend! Sopapillas were great and the atmosphere and everything else were great! The Face paining and balloon animals were a favorite by all!!

Truth is, this place is geared more for younger children, and the food is below average yet the prices are sky high. If you have younger kids, I would take them once just to let them have that experience, but other than that we won’t ever go back for the food. Some of the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had, completely tasteless, they steam their corn tortillas and flour tortillas and soggy with no charr. Everyone has been telling me the food here is not good and unfortunately they are correct. Sad, I was really looking forward to the potential of them having amazing food. The other thing that was not very pleasant is we paid extra money to sit really close to the pool that the divers jump into and every time they would come out to jump into the water everybody that’s walking by surrounds your table so that they can watch so you basically have people hovering over your dinner table just to see two guys jump in the water for two minutes. Very gimmicky and definitely not worth the hype.

Went here as a kid, couldn’t wait to go back but unfortunately I just won’t be back. This place has turned into a “one-time” only kinda place as it’s pretty much only geared towards kids about 10 years old and younger. The food had absolutely no taste besides their “homemade” sauces. Their beans tasted horrible and their rice was flavorless. just not worth the expensive prices in my opinion at all.

UNDERWHELMING!!!!! OVERPRICED!!! This is located in a ghetto of Denver on Colfax. Lots of questionable persons lingering in the parking lots. You will pass through 3 TSA like, security check points outside the building, right behind the famous fountain, before you can enter for your meal . . . Yeah The only positive things about this place are the cliff divers, the mariachi singers, the waterfall, bridges & palm tree area. Otherwise, it's like being in a strange version of Alice in Wonderland. Instead of a white rabbit, there's a creepy gorilla- in gym shorts; along with several other "characters" there is zero reference to these outside of the restaurant in our culture, so when these people randomly show up at your table, it is awkward Why did South Park Creators pump this up so much? We expected the S.P. theme to be throughout due to the substantial $$$$ renovation. Where did that happen anyway??? This place looks the same as it did when I was 7 years old. There is 1 Cartman statue seated at a table for a photo op and 1 lame recording the staff member pushes the button to activate after your photo with Eric so you can hear his voice too. Wow The food is honestly the worst food I have eaten in decades. I can't remember the last time I ate worse food. It was all bad, literally. This is Colorado. HOW do you manage to create a Mexican restaurant with the worst food ever??? That is a feat. Being on the waiting list as long as we were, paid over $40 per person for a group of 6 for lunch to have this experience, after all of the hype about all of the "new" really felt like we were duped. Chipotle is better than this. The waitstaff encouraged us to go "explore." We did. The paths take you right past other people eating in different themed areas & some of those are dead ends. Awkward again. But wait there's more- go see the puppet show... imagine Mr. Roger's neighborhood gets invaded by the "bad" toys from Toy Story- that's the vibe. Turn around, the Sherrif and his deputy await more photo ops.. . .with their "fans" ?? There's a random weird museum and two gifts shops both selling Casa Bonita merch. There should be an option to buy a ticket for $5 per person to walk through the place, take some pictures, watch the cliff divers- who are entertaining and look like they enjoy what they do and then leave. In the words of Cartman, "Dude, this is so weak!"
