Carson's was our first stop during a mini vacation and birthday celebration in Chicago and it did not disappoint! The portions are large enough to share and absolutely delicious! They surprised my aunt with a birthday treat, which simply made the experience even more amazing! We'll be back!
Everything about our experience at Carson’s was exceptional! Cervando was our server and we could not have had anyone better!
Carson’s Ribs is not new to myself and my husband. We have dined in person and had takeout several times. Each time we have not been disappointed. Well, maybe not for my youngest daughter who does not care for the “Charcrust” recommended for the steaks. Aside from that, we have alway enjoyed Carson’s Ribs. Monday evening, I brought my husband to celebrate his birthday. Even though I enjoy spending time with family, I will have to say that this was my favorite visit to Carson’s Ribs. An intimate dinner with my husband was the best. To top it off, we had the best Server….Heather. Heather was so so nice to us. Heather was very attentive, kind and friendly. Thank you Ms Heather. I guess I should take a moment to speak about the food, but what’s to say but———everything was very delicious: Appetizers/Starters, Entrees and Sides. Heather was also kind and thoughtful to bring us a complimentary dessert to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Woohoo!! I would recommend Carson’s Ribs —-dinner for two, family and large groups.
Came here to celebrate my sisters birthday with some ribs. The staff from the time we walked in until we left for amazing! They were so friendly and enjoyed conversating with us and always made sure we full drinks. The food was beyond what we expected. I got the salmon and it was cooked perfectly! Ribs were also on point as was the cornbread. Our waiter even surprised us with a brownie and ice cream dessert with a candle to finish the evening. Would definitely go here again when in the city. Dietary restrictions: The first thing that was asked when we sat down was if there was any allergies or dietary restrictions they needed to know about.
Great food awesome service
Got a half slab of baby back ribs, soup, and new york strip. For side we chose creamed spinach and fries. The fries were normal, soup was good, steak was overcooked, and everything else was a bit sweet for me. The location is nice especially if you’re checking out Navy Pier on the same day. The restaurant is clean and nice but they put a 18% minimum suggested tip on top of your bill without your consent. Not bad experience but not sure if I will revisit.
It doesn't say it on the menu and the server didn't say anything about it. But when the bill comes a 20% gratuity was already added to the check. They are sneaky and presumably trying to catch you off guard and double dip.
