Carmine's Italian Restaurant - Washington D.C.

I was with a group of about 80 people from a bus tour who had dinner here on 4/15/24. This place was awesome and they were ready for us! The food was plentiful and delicious and the service was amazing! Would definitely recommend!

This is a great family style italian restaurant. HUGE portions. The 2 plates we got, the salad and pasta fed 4 of us and we still brought home leftovers. Only complaint is service was a bit slow. We had a train to catch so i asked for the bill, took her 20 min to bring our bill. I was able to go on open table and get a last minute reservation, so that was good. Wish we had time to get dessert because they looked amazing.

The food was excellent! Heat options for our group of 4-36 year olds. The spiedini alla romana was particularly interesting. Try it!

Dinner portion is huge. Easily feeds 3 to 4 people. Food was great!

They sent our chicken parm to our neighbors table. He cut into it and realized it was chicken, and not the veal he ordered. Busboy takes it back to the kitchen. 4 minutes later our chicken parm arrives. With the cut piece on it. Carmine’s took the misdelivered chicken parm back to the kitchen, threw some cheese on the cut, threw it back on the broiler and then dropped it on our table. No one apologized. Manager acted like we were crazy when we asked for it to be removed off our bill. We regret wasting the time to eat here. Oh, and the hostesses will act like you are inconveniencing them. One came back to the host stand from a side room chewing with a mouth full of food - we must have interrupted her dinner. This was our first and last Carmine’s experience.
