Disappointed at the quality of the food considering my expectations were so high from all the 5-star reviews in google maps. Nothing was memorable but the aspargus. The meat wasn’t particularly tender or flavorful, the morcilla wasn’t specially spiced nor had a special texture, and the empanada felt heavy on the stomach. Staff was really great though and the space is really nice. The food wasn’t worth the price tag and drive in my opinion.

In a city full of big name and high profile steakhouses, this one is the BEST. I've been multiple times but am highlighting last night's food selections. Starters included pork belly empanadas, a burrata dish with imported heirloom tomatoes and finally, scallops resting in some sort of creamy sauce made and sent from heaven. We ordered three cuts of steak for our party of five to share: 2.5 lbs of ribeye cap, a New York strip and a skirt steak. All cooked and seasoned perfectly. Sides included sautéed spinach, creamed corn and fries. Accompanied by multiple red Argentine wines, selected by their expert. The service is exceptional, as is the food. For passionate meat eaters, it's simply perfection.

This place is definitely worth every penny! From the service ,to the food , everything was so perfect and we couldn't be happier we had dinner reservations, and we didn't know where to park, since they don't have parking, we walked in real quick to ask , and they do valet parking, while they were sitting us at our dinner table , they had taken our car to a parking lot. The steaks here are sooo delicious, we also tried the flan which was so good. We also wanted to be "adventurous" and try the blood sausage, which was different, but my boyfriend seemed to love and even wanted more I highly recommend this place to everyone! You won't be disappointed

This is my favorite steak house in LA. I have been going to Carlitos for over 20 years. First, with my wife as a young married couple, then with our first born daughter and last night we celebrated my son’s 15th birthday there. To us, Carlitos Gardel is a family tradition that I hope we can continue for many years to come, and once I’m no longer around I hope my kids keep it going with their own families. That’s the way I feel about this place. It is more than a restaurant to me. The combination of quality cuts, specials, sides, starters, salads, amazing wine list and desserts is phenomenal. Make no mistake, you will spend a handsome amount at Carlitos but compared to other top steak houses in LA, you will win. However, what separates this restaurant from others, is the service. If you have been there, you know what I am talking about, if you haven’t, then I urge you to find out. These are professionals at their best. Max runs everything with impeccable precision and timing. His younger brother Girair, is just amazing as well. This is a family owned restaurant in every sense of the expression. Carlito (dad) and Azniv (mom) are there every day. The restaurant is unassuming but elegant, nicely decorated and lighted, the soft music coming from the piano and accordion player is the perfect complement to the evening. I could go on and on and yes, I am bias towards Carlitos. With so many steakhouses in LA I’m sure you have your favorite one and I’m sure it is great as well. But I have an emotional connection to this place that has developed over the years, and so we are clear, everything started with the food, I have never had a disappointing meal at Carlitos Gardel. This is a high end restaurant and consistent as they come at that level, and you all know that is the hardest thing to achieve at any business/walk of life. I have seen this restaurant grow and grow and become one of the best in LA. I’m proud of Carlitos Gardel. Salud and congrats to the Bozoghlian family!!!

I am a traveler who visited LA. I went to a high-priced steak restaurant that I chose based on Google reviews. Please note that there is no separate parking facility, so if you're bringing a car, you'll need to find nearby parking. The valet fee was $15. The service, ambiance, and taste were all good. However, one surprising fact was that the tip was included in the bill. You can't choose the amount of the tip yourself. An 18% tip was included in the bill, and when I inquired about this, they said it was the restaurant's 'policy' to include the tip in the bill. I'm aware that an 18% tip is common in the US, and I was willing to pay that amount, but I'm uncertain whether it's right to enforce this in the bill. This is why I hesitate to recommend this restaurant. Parking: Vallet Parking fee $15

Some of the best steak I’ve ever had. Mushrooms were also incredible and service was 10/10. Will definitely be back.

Came for my dad’s birthday and we had such an elevated dinner experience here at Carlitos Gardel Steakhouse. George was so professional and thoughtful by introducing the nights specials.
