Great food, friendly service and a beautiful location. I would highly recommend the muscles.
This San Antonio classic was a revelation. Our party of 5 started the experience with spritzers, a mezcal cocktail and an elderflower iced tea. After hearing the specials, our group ordered one monte cristo as the appetizer. The monte cristo sandwich is reminiscent of croque monsieur (ham and Gruyère cheese) sandwiched between funnel cakes. Would definitely recommend getting this as an appetizer and not a main, very tasty but also very rich. 2/5 of the party ordered delicious crab cake mains with salads that were included. The spinach omelette was considered to be good but I think the crab cake and my ahi tuna Asian salad were by far the most delicious and balanced meals. The portions were generous and the expectations were exceeded. Finally, the coconut creme pie was to die for. I would recommend to anyone one who dines there. Our party will be returning back for more and since then we have already referred more to the restaurant.
My best friend and I just left and I had to leave a review! Everyone was so kind and our waitress gave the best recommendations. My one condition in picking the restaurant was a good cocktail and a good entree and my expectations were beyond met! I would highly recommend the 75, shrimp nachos, salmon, and sticky toffee pudding!
Consistently good food, good service, and wonderful atmosphere, since the early 1980s or so. Timeless.
It's always a treat to have brunch at Cappy's! Another fabulous dinner at Cappy's! After 44 years eating at Cappy's, I've yet to have a meal that wasn't excellent! Service is always spot on, as is the casual atmosphere!
