Great pizzas made by a world-class awarded pizza chef. I prefer this spot over Tony's Pizza.
Always love this place. It is a nice compliment to Tony's pizza a few blocks away.
First time eating a deep dish chicago-style pizza as it's my first time in the US, and this was something else. Very nice, definitely different than a good old Napoletana I am used to :) the thin crust pizza was also very nice! For the two of us (one adult man and one woman), we've ordered a 10" thin crust pizza and an 8" deep dish pie (old Chicago style), and it was more than enough for us. The full-sized deep dish pie looked huge so I'm glad we didn't order it! It seemed like it would fill 4 adult men.
It's an old Chicago gangster scene, with great food. Came back for the 2nd time in 3 weeks. A new spot that I can request when I'm in the city. A definite must try if you've never been.
One of the best pizzas in the bay area especially if you like deep dish. This is another great creation from the pizza genius tony gemigani who also owns Tony’s another great pizzeria in the neighborhood. This pizzeria focuses more on the Detroit and Chicago style of Midwest pizzas, my favorite. I would say this deep dish and little star are the best in the Bay Area but capos will also make Detroit style which is one of my favorite styles of pizza. Yet the deep dish is so good I actually enjoyed it more then the Detroit which is saying something. The cocktails are phenomenal and so is the customer service. I got a spicy deep dish style of pizza last time and I couldn’t believe how good it was. The only pizza that could compare to Chicago if not better. The genovese pasta is also phenomenal. Highly recommend this place! Kid-friendliness: I would eat outside if I had kids. Will be a long wait as it’s usually a minimum of 45 mins to cook the pizza but it can be packed and take over an hour. Bring some entertainment for the young ones.
Amazing food. The Dillinger is to die for.
