After walking around china town we decided to try out this place for the first time only because they advertised thick noodles after getting inside they sat us at a very small table. We were hungry and wanted to order variety of their dishes. We asked them if we can move to a bigger table and they immediately said “no the other tables were meant for other costumers with bigger party.” WHEN THE RESTAURANT WAS TECHNICALLY EMPTY AND WE WERE ONLY PLANNING ON STAYING THERE MAX 30/40MINS we just wanted to be comfortable. Ironically all other bigger tables remained empty during our whole stay (We should’ve left as soon they came out rude) both my husband and I order thick noodles in which they messed up and brought us thin noodles. After we were done the total was $46 I gave them $48 the waitress seemed confused and kept pointing at the “suggested tip %” on the receipt. Ranging from $7 $10 $18 I told her to keep the change, after she repeatedly showing us the tip suggested every time increasing more aggressively I asked her if it was mandatory and got very upset and gave us a nasty mean face. TIPS ARE OPTIONAL as a former waitress myself it seems wrong to force tips it should be up to the customer if they are satisfied and wants to give. Not coming back after this forceful awful experience. They should’ve BEEN HAPPY we stepped foot into their restaurant to begin with.

Really affordable lunch deal ($10.5+) , $0.25 for to go bags. Took about 15 minutes. Should have call to order in advance. Back ribs and green beans were ok, quite salty, the portion of meat+veggie was about 1/3 box, and white rice was soft. It was not outstanding but good enough at that price for me to want to go back to try other dishes (chicken wings, mu shu pork)

The restaurant needs to be renovated and they are making due with being in an older neighborhood but the food and service definitely makes up for the decor or lack there of. They serve the best Salt and Pepper fried chicken wings ever. I also had two lunch specials which had great portions, well cooked, and very flavorful! The service was top tier… friendly attentive waitresses, who remember when you’ve previously visited and have great personalities and know their menu well to make great suggestions. I’d recommend you stopping in for sure!! Their menu offers a variety of dishes including vegan, seafood, and meat lovers as well as traditional asian cuisine and dishes.

Great salt and pepper chicken wings! And make sure to eat the jalapeños too! We also liked the tea, the string bean chicken, the beef chow fun and vegetable fried rice. Vegetarian options: Eggplant tofu stir fry

Very cozy. Great "hole in the wall" type of place.

In a city known for its culinary delights, my recent visit to 839 Clay Street, Capital Restaurant, left a sour taste and disappointment. Ordered beef with broccoli and got chicken with a side of Choi sum, and the staff say its ok just eat them those your orders. Check out my review to see how this spot missed the mark on service and satisfaction. Don't get served the wrong dish – read before you eat!

Great food. My family has been dining here for years even though we live outside of this zip code. On Sat 02/24/2024 there was a line out the door at 3:30pm. Why? Chinese New Year parade festivies. We shared a table with some locals who recommended the number one chicken wings. In addition we ordered our usual dishes. We have not dined here in 4 years. As busy and short staffed as this restaurant was , we had a great experience to include dining/sharing a table with local strangers. We highly recommend this restaurant.
