Cape Bottle Room

Came here on a Monday at 4pm to avoid the crazy parking and crowds. There is paid street parking right outside of the space. This is a cozy place to get nice South African wine and snacks. The staff were friendly and helpful. I tried the curator red blend and it was a solid medium bodied wine. We also had the meat and cheese board. The cheeses were amazing and the jerky-like meat has some different and interesting flavors like coriander. Loved the honey comb with the goat cheese.

Had a great time at Cape Bottle Room this past weekend! Our somm, John, was very knowledgeable and awesome to chat with. The wines were all great and we really enjoyed the charcuterie board, probably the best I’ve had in Austin. Highly recommend!

Superb wine bar, and extremely unique, focusing on outstanding and underrated S African wine. I've dreamed of finding a place like this ever since visiting S Africa in 2015. Don't miss this place if you like trying new excellent wines!

Thrilled that this lovely spot has opened in Austin. South Africa produces top notch wines and it's great to see the U.S. finally catching on. Super wines, wonderful staff and a great vibe.
