I tried their 9-course menu, Taste Canoe, and everything was exceptional. However, there was a bit of a wait, about 15-20 minutes, between courses, which was a bit lengthy. Nonetheless, the atmosphere and view overlooking the city lights and CN Tower are amazing. I would definitely recommend it for a date night out. The service was also great.

The worst restaurant experience I've had in years. As a fine dining restaurant and a long-standing symbol of excellence in Canadian cuisine, I was appalled by my dinner tonight. Sadly, this was a birthday celebration for my mom which made things all the more upsetting. The service was mediocre at best. I remember coming to Canoe years ago, getting a true white-glove fine dining experience from everyone and now it's bare minimum customer service. My mom got the oysters as a starter and they were not appetizing at all, had a very funky flavour, and I got the tuna carpaccio. The tuna came with frozen foie gras, toast, and trout roe. The carpaccio layers covered the slab of toast and foie underneath so I was deeply confused about how to eat the dish - use a knife and fork for toast or uncover the tuna to get at the toast/foie with your hands?? For a dish labelled "Tuna" the amount of foie on the plate was overwhelming. It overpowered everything else and you completely lost the tuna. I also found the seasoning to be lackluster, and again, couldn't stand up to the sheer amount of foie in the dish. For mains I got the lamb saddle and my mom got halibut. The server confirmed with me that it was going to be medium-rare on the cook which I said I was fine with. What came to me was the texture of an eraser. The meat was almost gray - that's how well done it was. The "roll" of lamb was also 1/5 gristle which I was shocked they didn't trim off. The sauce was so heavily salted that it left my tongue buzzing from the sodium, and to top it all off, the dish was lukewarm. When I raised these issues with the server, a very casual "I'm sorry" was all he offered and then asked what I would like instead. I ended up swapping this disappointing lamb for a salmon. It was an extremely mediocre salmon dish - skin was not crispy enough, and the seasoning of the whole dish was completely off so it ate very bland. We spent over $350 tonight and I could have gotten better tasting food at McDonalds. A complete waste of time and money so I will never return.

Came here in November for a cousin's wedding and the venue was so incredibly beautiful. We were able to watch the sunset while drinking some amazing and strong cocktails. For dinner I had the onion soup as my app, 5.5oz aged Albertan filet as my main, and the blood orange + honey dessert. Everything was delicious, but the cocktails and view were definitely my favourite!
